And also add to teh fact that Game 1 itself pretty much played out exactly how the game in OKC played out last year. Heat did well for most of the game, and I believe were even up in the first half at several points...but OKC just had a strong spurt in the 4Q and they sneaked out a win.

Sure things are different this time because the 3 games are on the road rather than home, but I wouldn't worry too much - Heat can play on the road. And its not home/road thats the issue with this team, its just WHEN this team decides to play on its A game and when it chooses not to.

I think you hammer the Heat in Game 3 and if it doesn't hit, you go even bigger in Game 4. The chances of them losing both are virtually zero.

They aren't losing this series -- and trust me, I'd love to see the Spurs crowned one more time.

i really didnt watch a ton tonight, know i cashed the 1st half over and never had a doubt bout heat so mostly watched the cards gm..GM1 there was a great pace in the 1st half then it grinded to a halt..think scoring in 1st should mostly push 100 in these gms in SA, hope so anyway..

Yeah I do that often. And obviously the 33-5 run was a flashback to that Knicks game.

I do see a big difference though, the Pacers dominated game 1, they didn't really steal it. They led from early in the 2nd and went into the 4th with a 15-pt lead. Spurs stole game 1.

I think the Heat will win game 4. I could still hedge if I wanted to, Spurs series is only -140 last I checked, and my Heat series bets combined (before game 1 and before game 2) amount to -115 or so. I could eat up the juice.

But I probably won't for 2 reasons:
1) At the end of the day it's only 1 game, I can't let it drastically change my view of the series unless I saw anything major I didn't expect, but other than LeBron not showing up and the Spurs going nuts from 3 (just when I said I didn't think their perimeter game would improve, they shoot 50% from 3 in 2 straight games lol), not much to see.
2) This isn't the right time to take the Spurs. This could very well be the worst price on them all series, provided I still think the Heat take game 4. Even if I'm risking them losing game 4, I can't go against my instinct, even in a hedge.

i watched 1st half , once 1st half over cashed and was pretty clear heat were not bringing the A gm i did something else at halftime.. not sure what that has to do with anything in response to my post? you saying because of that heat dont win gm 4? ill take my chances, been working for some time, wait for heat to lose, bet heat next gm, not trying to reinvent the wheel, if it loses oh well been a nice profit doing it thus far and really doubt anything changes.

Cant speak for nc, I don't think heat lose series but I think it goes 7 either way. Pretty sure heat win gm4 and it easy to be sure cause heat always respond just like they don't go all out when they don't feel it a must. Letting how these teams look the previous gm will have ya all fukked up, I mean how did the heat look in gm2? Pretty good right? Gm1 was only gm that one of the teams didnt look bad. Thats because Wade is gambling defensively and is basically losing the game for the Heat. LOL green has hit 16 of 23 three pointers. Wade is more concerned about his pregame outfit than defending Green with intensity. I used to love Wade, but hes a scrub this season and should come off the bench. Only then Lebron has a chance to be really assertive and the Heat might have a chance for game 7.

Better to look at the history of lots of series, then look for some reason why the historical trend is more likely or less likely to continue. Game 3 teams 1-1 at home for game 3 had a good record, Spurs were the play, though the ML was priced about right. Here are the game 4 records of teams in the Spurs situation, home after going win, loss, win:

All rounds: 33-19 (.635)
Finals round: 3-4 (.429)

This would suggest strong play on Spurs ML, but I think if you factor in the Heat bounce back factor and Parker's sprained knee probably not that strong a play. Definitely not a game to go big on either way IMO, unless it comes out Parker won't play.
