And you don't put money on the Grizz - you donate that $ to charity instead.Comment -

#4I think Spurs will win this series. I know Zack Randolph is a beast this year, but I don't think he's anywhere near the level he was at in 2010-11. Also, The Spurs never had Leonard in that series and I think he's gonna be huge this series. Spurs in 7 IMOComment -

#5put 85 to win 2125 at +2500 for grizz western conf champ with my local book AFTER Westbrook got hurt
Love SoCal bookies only banking on homer players
anyways I'm hedging with the spurs for $1000. Can't pass up free money. But undecided about whether I should wait for Grizz to steal an away gameComment -

if the line is something like spurs -150+ I'd let it ride and wait for game 2. only problem is you're screwed on that if spurs win game 1. I'd personally let it ride. I'm on them at 6.5-1 for the west and i'm going to take grizz pre series for some extraComment -

#8If you are looking to put money on spurs side I would wait until right before the series starts as I expect alot of money to come in on the Grizz early on and you "might" be able to grab better odds. Or wait until they split the first 2 as I think is very likely.
That series from a couple years ago is still fresh on everyone's mind and this is basically the same Memphis team as that year (Gay was hurt and although Vasquez was huge that series, Bayless is more than capable of being an x-factor)...against a significantly different Spurs team in alot of ways. Spurs rarely played Splitter at the time (Only got significant minutes one game in the series) and now he and Duncan play regularly together. Size matches up alot better than when they had Mcdyess, Bonner and Blair trying to handle ZBO-Gasol combo..while they will still be out physicaled underneath, they should be somewhat better on the boards with more length although their rebounding against GS is still atrocious. Green/Leonard/healthier Ginobili > Udoka/Jefferson/Broken elbow Ginobili.
Think it will be a long grind it out series with both teams being better than they were then. Should be fun. I hope it goes 7.Comment -

#9^^ good points. I forgot that Ginobli was hurt that year, but it's not like he's been doing all that well this year. The main differences are going to be Leonard and Danny Green. IIRC, Danny Green was basically a non-factor in that series and so was Tiago splitter, both of which are extremely important to the Spurs team this year. I think the Spurs win this series in 6 and that everyone is quickly overrating Memphis because they beat a Westbrook-less OKC team and a Clippers team that lives and dies by the 3.Comment -
