Very nice on the middle, it was def good play... If I was gambling like I used to when I thought I was smartest guy on the block, managing my gambling like a hedge fund, I would have put 30% of total wager on the middle... I can't do that shit anymore though... Lots of gray hairs from watching every second of every game... Much better for me to just do it for fun .Comment -

hey Gem, you seem to be one of the smarter posters on here, and i really like the fact that you said at one point you were managing your BR like a hedge fund. i would love to get to a level like that where it starts to become more of profit making endeavor than just a hobby, but i know i still have alot to learn. is there any books that you read or anything that helped you get to the level your at now?Comment -
ITsme, you don't want to be like I was, I don't want to be the way I was... I was a junky, never happy, always looking for more action always stressed, there was a time I was up over 150k, didn't matter, still wanted more, then I ended up losing around 25k last year, so it was time for me to chill out... Do it as a hobby, don't obsess about it or it will drive you crazy...
If you really want to learn I can teach you a couple techniques.... BEst thing would be to find like 9 different factors you look at, then only take a game when it fits 7 or more... This should limit your plays to about 3 a week, and they will all be really solid... its so so much work though...Comment -

i would love to learn a couple of techniques. and your right i dont want to fall over the degen cliff, but im finding this is something that i really enjoy doing, and its not the winning money part i enjoy the most. i love doing research, looking at numbers and then coming up with a prediction. to be honest i just recently cashed out most of my BR at bovada because i needed the money and dont plan on putting any more in it anytime soon. just gonna stick with betting points for a while. but i am trying to improve just finding it difficult to find the best ways to improve. so ya any books, advice, or techniques that you have would be greatly appreciated.Comment -
