Lakers transition defence is pretty bad. They would rather play Spurs than Thunder who will run at them.

Yeah that's what I dont get. Its a no brainer that LA would rather face Spurs, but why do books think otherwise?

The best shot the Lakers have is to make the Thunder a half court jump shooting team. Get Nash and Howard working pick and rolls and they have a better shot against the Thunder. It's still a long shot but Laker/Thunder is better ratings and better match up for the Lakeshow.

game was actually a letdown spot for the lakers once the jazz got beaten. they had already played a game without kobe and had been guaranteed a playoff spot, of course youd rather play the spurs but the embarrassment of missing the playoffs was taken away by utahs defeat, plus der fuhrer stern would rather see okc vs la anyways
