I was hoping the Tim Donaghy scandal would cause the NBA to fold but unfortunately it didn't.

After watching this game tonight, clearly nothing has changed when it comes to referees totally deciding the outcome of NBA games.

Other than one small spurt which had the Cavs leading in the 2nd quarter, the Wizards had the lead throughout the entire game. The vast majority of time, the team that is leading winds up shooting more free throws. However, the 4-22 Wizards were playing 8 on 5 the entire night.

When a popular winning team plays @ home against a team with a losing record, most of the time the better team will simply blow them out. However, when the team with the losing record steps up and plays, the referees always wind up bailing the winning team out. Happens day in and day out in basketball.
