while I agree that with the talent that they have at the start and considering how deep their bench is that they should be winning alot... but cmon to win EVERY game? do you know how many teams in the NBA would LOVE to be in the Laker's position now? You've got a GREAT head coach who's won 9, count em, 9 NBA championships... you've got a team AT LEAST 10 deep. This team is in COMPLETE control of the western conference. They can afford to lose a few, and it's probably why Phil doesn't call timeouts when the opposing team goes on runs. It makes the team stronger. I've heard (everywhere, including this forum) that the Lakers can turn it on and off when they want to, which is why they haven't covered their last 8 spreads. But what makes you think that they won't turn it on all 48 minutes come playoffs? Lakers are going to the NBA finals and are going to give either the Celts are the Cavs a run for their money. This is just my 2 cents.
