How bad of a coach is D'antoni?
He is trying to play uptempo bball with a team that is younger, faster, more athletic, and leads the league in scoring. Is he stupid?

LA can run and gun all they want with OKC but they'll lose by 15-20 if they don't slow it down.

71 points in the first half. Well done.

How long did it take him to call a timeout at the start of the game? I swear they were down 9-1 and were 0 for 8 shooting and had just lost kobe and he still waited till it got worse. Nice call.

Kobe is an all-time great and still has fuel left in the tank.

Nash is a hall of famer.

They should be this bad. They were a better team under Mike Brown.

D'antoni isn't the one whose dumb...its the Lakers front office. They knew EXACTLY what kind of coach he was and what system he plays, yet they hire him to run this roster.

I put 0 blame on D'antoni - eventhough it is the wrong way to play against OKC, its the way he plays and he has no intention of changing it. Lakers knew what they were getting into when they hired him and now they're just paying the price in situations like these.

Wasting a year out of Kobe. Team plays no defense. Trying to run with these young guys. No chance in hell D'antoni will succeed.

Lakers front office are to blame for the hiring of D'Antoni. He is no better than Mike Brown. I have no clue what made the Lakers go with this guy and not Phil Jackson. Terrible job done by the front office.

Couldn't agree more. Strategy is just awful. They are a bunch of old guys past their prime trying to keep up with a team in its athletic prime. Horrible gameplan, horrible hire, horrible coach. This isn't rocket science.

OKC wins by 17. I predicted 120-105 before the game in Magicflows thread.

How can I see the writing on the wall but the Laker's coach can't? Obviously the Lakers can't keep up for 4 quarters with a younger, faster, more athletic team. Why try?

They needed to make this a half court game. That never happened. Did they even try?

                      Good points.

The fukkkking guy refuses to adjust his offense to the roster.

Hell bent on forcing an offense that does not fit. If they somehow make the playoffs, they will get embarrassed. Thunder or Spurs will make it ugly for them

Lakers should have stuck with Brown or paid Jackson what he wanted
