        i just checked

Even when they win at home, they have a bad first half and come back in the 2nd

Off my head I honestly can't remember when the Blazers covered a first half spread.

Usually they go into the break down and come home really strong.

Whether it happens tomorrow....not sure but it's something to keep an eye on.

My view isn't very statistical but POR lost at home against PHX 1st game after the all star break and BOS lost at DEN. The following night, PHX lost at GS and BOS lost at LAL on b2b road play (After Dr. Buss's passing, assuming that gave LAL motivation against his rival). With 2 days of rest POR lost at LAL, and BOS, playing its 3rd road game in 4 nights, won at PHX (who beat POR in their house).

              NBA.com-
"While seeking to even their record on their five-game trek, the Celtics will try to send the Blazers to their longest losing streak in seven seasons Sunday night."
"The Celtics have won 13 of 14 match-ups and are 5-1 in their last six visits to the Rose Garden."

              SERIES NOTES

              • Sunday will mark the second and final regular season meeting between Portland and Boston. The Celtics defeated the Trail Blazers

96-78 at the TD Garden on Nov. 30.

              • Boston has won six consecutive games vs. Portland, the Trail Blazers’ longest active losing streak against any NBA team.

              • The Celtics have won 13 of the last 14 meetings with the Trail Blazers.

              • In seven of the past eight games between the two teams, neither squad has eclipsed 100 points.

              • Boston is the only NBA team that currently has a winning record in Portland (27-23, 54.0%).

I've noticed a lot of people are on Port tonight. It may be square but I think Bos is the right play tonight. The Blazers are not in good form at the moment & Bos has been playing very solid basketball since the Rondo injury. Three of their losses in the past five games have been in tough spots. Besides Port being home I can't come up with a good reason to back a team on a 7 game losing streak who is also 1-6 ats in that stretch. I say the Celts win straight up. Maybe tomorrow is a better spot to go against them in Utah on a back to back.
