I agree, I understand the respect for the Wizards, their record for covering the spread is very impressive, but still feel Houston is the right play for tonight.

Nothing is for certain, especially in the NBA, but the Wizards are overvalued here after covering a lot the last two weeks. They're way too trendy imo.

I'm on the opposite tonight - I don't think you start too many threads, but your posts are usually pretty informative. Last I checked, a lot of public money has been on Houston, so that's one of the reasons I'm on Washington. Not that the ML has been much help recently. Houston is not that strong of a road team and it's been awhile since they have been able to win B2B road games. Anyway, the way games have been lately, it's been a coin toss. GL man.

I like how the Rockets are playing right now and feel like the Wizards are overvalued.

Typically when the "better" team is only -1.5 or -2 on the road against a bad team, they lose. With that said, I feel like tonight will be one of those instances where people will be saying "squares win again" after the game is over.

Either way, I can't say people playing Washington are making a bad bet. I can see reasons for taking the Wizards as well. GL.

Where did you see 85% of the tickets were on the Rockets? I would expect a lot of people to be on Houston but I'm see a lot of people on the Wizards as well.

I understand that it's a "square play" by SBR standards but I don't really care. I hardly ever take a team favored by 1.5 on the road but I like this play so I'm making it.

I had the Kings ML in Washington a few weeks ago and won and I had the Warriors ML against the Spurs last night and won. I don't always take the side that looks obvious but I do like this one.

First post, but I'm a long time reader. As you can tell from my avatar, I'm a Rockets' fan, but I went with the Wizards tonight. Besides Washington being a spread covering machine, the Rockets are still short handed after trading away Patterson and Morris leaving them having to guard one of the Wiz's bigs with a perimeter player. Houston lives and dies by threes and the law of averages caught up with them at the end. A fully healthy Wizards team at home is always a good bet to cover the spread when they're dogs. Looking forward to lots of good discussions about sports betting on here with other posters. Here's my betting slip:
