How they against the west? Looks like they only good against teams that are not good at excelling on the offensive end.

They're a good team defensively, right?
Down 76-75 with 8:51 left, now it's 89-78 with 5:54 left. Spurs just went on a 13-3 run in the last three minutes with Splitter and Diaw tearing the Bulls up.

They are dog shit...they have no offense whatsoever without Rose.
Its impressive how much theyve accomplished though with just solid D

Well, I know they just clamped down on the Jazz in Utah last Thursday night.

You say they have a good D, and 90% of the time that's true, but they go through stretches where it looks like they're avoiding the ball like the plague defensively.

Jazz are from the West, but they do not play free-flow offense.

How can they be this bad at home in the fourth quarter against a team that's on a B2B playing literally their entire second unit?

Parker isn't even playing tonight, though. No Parker, no Duncan, no Manu....

This is the San Antonio Spurs...their second unit is good enuf to tear apart even the best defenses in the league. Bulls are nothing. You guys forget this 2nd unit of Spurs nearly beat Miami at home.
Bulls defense is usually good vs other teams but not with teams like SAS's 2nd unit.

i think it might be that the spurs play system ball, doesn't matter who plays, all the passes confuse defenses

Normally I would point to the coaching of Pop as being the difference but I didn't think Thibs was that far behind him to explain this scoreline.
I think the Bulls have been overachieving for a large part of the season.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. That's my point: are you telling me the Spurs' reserves, on a back to back, should be shredding the best defensive team in the league on their home court?

Bulls have given up 23 points in the last six minutes to Diaw, Splitter, Green, Leonard and de Colo.

Well Bulls and Miami are about the best defenses in the league IMO, and I've seen Spurs' 2nd unit have no struggles against both of them.
And Bulls defense should be better tonight yes but its simply a combo of Spurs great ball movement and Bulls having no offense tonight causing them to be lazy on their D.
Doesnt matter about B2B...these guys are playing for coach Pop and somehow he gets them to bring 110% every night.

Look at the roster man, Thibs has this team playing well above expectation. Bulls are a great strong road team, don't cover much at home though

The Bulls aren't nearly the team they were the last two years.
They beat up on Eastern conference teams and then get drilled by the elite West teams. The better question is, what's up with the books giving the Spurs little credit? They have had some ridiculous spreads that were close to a PK and they have the best record in the NBA.

Ive lived in chicago my whole life. Saw MJ play 100s of times. I live Bulls basketball.
I was there at the Philly game when Rose tore his knee. I remember the Bulls being up HUGE in game 1 with Rip Hamilton scoring like 18 in the first Q. We had a 2nd scorer and the Bulls and Heat were on a collision course for the Finals. I was putting on my coat drunk during a noon round 1 game happy as hell and Rose goes down.
The Bulls won 30 of their first 50 games without our MVP point guard. Ill take it. Thibadeau is the best chicago hire in the last decade. The way Paxson/Forman pissed away this off season we shoudlnt even be around. But we are.
I just got home from the United Center. These games happen, and I smelled it a mile away. Im excited for Derrek Rose to come back but not for this season. For the future.
The Bulls play defense. The NBA just produces nights off unfortunately.

You Bulls naysayers are funny. The Bulls have had injuries up the yin yang and will still win their division.
If Derrick Rose comes back healthy and the rest of the team is healthy then they are the main competition for Miami in the Eastern Conference.
