    NBA totals (o/u) software
    Hi,

I used to be a pro sports-bettor (mostly NBA), but spent last 2 or 3 years focusing totally on poker, so I kinda lost touch with the "industry". Lately I'm slowly starting to pick it up again, and am wondering if anything has changed in the past few years in regards to the software. Is anything useful available?

Especially I would be interested to know if there is any good software for totals (NBA)?
For example, a software that would daily update the stats, calculate home/away averages (without OT), perhaps be able to insert some personal "formulas", exclude some games etc. ...

So mainly, a software that obv. wouldn't be picking me winners (that's nonsense), just save me some time.

    Thanks in advance,
    Dimmy

    Welcome, Dimmy

I really can't answer your question, but still wanted to welcome you to the site. Are you asking about something that will auto update from a feed or some s/w with you as the data entry clerk? There are services, not free, out there you can subscribe to and find the numbers I'm guessing you're looking for. Somebody here can stroll by and tell you about those. If it's something that you intend to enter yourself, I'd recommend just using Excel which, if you're not familiar with that, there are plenty of people around here that can get you started.

Thanks. I wouldn't really mind paying a bit for a service, but I can imagine most of them wouldn't really offer me what I want ... like those useless ATS stats and similar BS ... But anyway, you have any examples?

I actually thought about Excel, but I haven't used it in years. And even back then when I did, I didn't use it seriously, so I basically don't know anything at all.
Would really appreciate some tips ...

I graduated with a degree in computer science and many of my colleagues would
build you a program if needed message me details on what you need to be pulled
you would have to manage it yourself. Your gonna pay big $$ for it though

Thanks, but no thanks. Funny, I went to a computer science college too, but only for a week, then I dropped out (I found it hard to find any motivation when making pretty sick $ at "gambling" ). So if needed, I have friends to do it (that's plan B), but for now I'm more interested if there's any made software ...
