Will Lakers be home dogs tomorrow against Utah??

I was surprised at the inflated lines Lakers have been getting, especially at +4 in Memphis after getting shut down by Chicago (a 1 pt home dog in that game w/out Deng). Last Thursday they were a small favorite at home against the defending champs and we know how that turned out. I think Chuck said tonight on TNT that Phoenix even has a better chance of making the playoffs than L.A.

Anyway, I was trying to pick the line tonight and I have to go +1 if Howard is out. I think it will be -2 or -3 with Howard suiting up. Either way I'll take Utah anywhere -1 to +5. I don't see Lakers getting back on track at home against a hot team that can control the glass and has already beat L.A. twice this season.

Side note: Love Dallas tomorrow at home vs. Spurs. Hoping for Dallas pk or -1.

Howard is not out, LA was -7 at home last time they played Utah I forget who was healthy in that game? But they will be at least -4.5 if not more

I think the line will be much closer. Books have to catch up to giving Lakers so much, but maybe they can't because they're the Lakers??


Like Mavs since Tim and Pops not making trip and Ginobili still kind of stale. Mavs been warming up nicely and I think they win in a good battle!

I remember when I used to always take visiting team when Lakers were double digit home favorites. That won't happen for the remainder of the season I'd imagine. I'd be all over Utah +4 tomorrow. Utah is streaking now and they play Lakers well.

Well in the past I'd always back the Lakers after they got back home following an ugly road loss. They would obliterate the visiting team. I don't believe in a team that does not believe in itself. Lakers should be no more than -1 or -2 given their poor level of playing. Many thought L.A. was the play against Miami. Then the same in Chicago. Then the same in Toronto. They were supposed to turn it around those games and dominate. Utah matches up well, is younger and can crash the boards as well Lakers. First instinct is ML but I'll take the chalk!
