Taking Milwaukee Bucks -6 vs 76ers tonight
Tonight I'm taking Milwaukee minus the points. http://forum.sbrforum.com/nba-basket...fer-picks.html

    1. Philly is playing back to back games. From ESPN: "Philadelphia has been outscored by an average of 13.0 points while going 0-7 in the second leg of back-to-backs since the start of December."

    2. I watched them play San Antonio last night and blow a late 4th quarter 7 point lead to lose by 5. Granted, I wanted them to lose by 7, but the fact that they couldn't hold a 7 point lead that late in the game tells me they're still struggling.

    3. Milwaukee has been much improved recently. They attribute it to a change in coaches. Regardless, they're coming off a 3-1 road trip and they're averaging 100+ points. They have momentum, and a little bit of hope that they might make it to the playoffs.

Definitely not scientific, but that's about as deep as I go. What are ya'lls thoughts?

I'm not playing those games because I'm not sure about them. I would probably pick those two teams if I was however, but wouldn't expect to go 3-0. Milwaukee is the only one I feel has an edge. Then again, there are better cappers than me on this forum fading the Bucks off their road trip.

You can do that if you think 6 points is too big. I don't like to bet the ML because the risk/reward usually sucks. I like to keep it as close to 1:1 as possible. With the moneyline, you often put up 2 to win 1 (or more), and I don't think you have double the chances of winning. I haven't done the math on this, and there is probably a handicapping thread on it. Just my preference.

Edit: Case in point - in yesterday's game of San Antonio at Philly, the spread was San Antonio -6, money line was San Antonio -265. You had to put up $265 to win $100 on SA. With four minutes remaining in the game, Philly was ahead with a 7 point lead. They blew the lead and lost by 5, but you can see how easy it would have been to lose more than double your money on what should have been a solid win my SA. Too risky imho.

76ers are 2-9 ats in b2b games this season.

i'll take my chances fading them tonight but where are you getting -6?

Earlier Bovada had -6.5 and I bought a half point. Not sure what it is now.

Why 76ers? The way they played yesterday I wouldn't risk money on them plus the points. Just curious what your rationale is?

Thanks for your input. I took the Bucks at 6-1/2 and under at 195-1/2. What do you think?

Bucks nearly blew a 13 point lead with 3 to play in Portland on Sat night

I wouldn't feel comfortable laying 6 on a team fresh off a 4 game road trip

76ers +6.5 (possibly on the money line also)
                                    Pistons -5 (Lock pick)
                                    Thunder under 200
Celtics -4.5 (Rondo has a good nite)

A little stressful at the end, but ended as expected.
