What exactly does Dwight Howard bring to the table besides weak-side shot-blocking?

He brings replays of free-throws on national TV...more specifically, air-balled FTs

Guy stinks. Lakers would be better with a healthy Bynum.

Howard brings size and defense. Any other team would have lost by 25 at Staples tonight

We agree T-Wizz. I've been saying that all year. The Lakers just needed Nash and some depth.

Bynum is an average player. Not even top 3 centers in the league. Wizzle you're kind of missing the point. Dwight Howard is not supposed to score the ball for this Lakers team. No talk of how Nash disappeared the last 5 minutes? Nash was no where to be found, that's why LA lost. You keep telling me Artest is the Lakers best defender. No chance. Lebron took a shit on him tonight. He can't guard the elite players anymore like a Bron Wade Mello Durant etc. Wade and Lebron came to play today. You can't beat the Heat when they're both on their game. You know that. And you know Miami is my team too, so I'm happy they won

No Goatie the Pistons are your team.
Bynum is a much better offensive player than Howard. I've always told you that. Howard has no real game on offense. Putbacks and dunks. No moves. He has no touch.

That is a fairly ridiculous comment from someone who claims to be the best at knowing the NBA. I'm hoping this was some fked up typo and/or u were drunk.

i think dwight is overrated. he can't make freethrows. that's a big deal. spencer hawes is just as good, not great at guarding, but he is ok and he can hit shots and freethrows at least

As opposed to the other 43 minutes? You know, when the Lakers turned the ball over 16 times in the first half, thanks in large part to Nash?
He's washed up. You keep touting the "all-stars" on this team. Howard doesn't give a shit, Nash is over the hill and Gasol is either hurt or stumbling all over himself out there. A comedy of errors. Wizz is right -- Howard brings almost nothing to the table. Yet there is plenty of blame to go around, because truth betold, this is just a mediocre team overall (at best).

howard .. chandler .. noah
top 3 centers in the league
what fckn noah is doing in chicago without rose .. playing 40 minutes a game ... defense .. rebounding .. how is this guy not even included in anyones lists ...
chandler leads the league in fg percentage ... plays crazy defense ... doesnt show a weakness other than outside the paint area ... both these guys are studs ...
as for howard now ,,, dude is just a straight animal when he gets the ball ... yeah he smiles and all that but hes just trying to look good for the cameras in LA now .. guy is the most feared center in the league to drive up against besides roy hibbert .. both of these 2 are the best 2 centers in the league
my top 3 this year right now has to be noah, chandler, howard
cant even forget duncan man at the 5 spot now

really nit picking here. but on ray allens looping basket at the end of the game, coming off the screen and gliding across the paint, what the penetrate was howard doing? the whole play developed so that ray would come across the paint and try to lay it in on teh opposite side. Howard helps and ends up setting up right behind the pick travelling even further away from where ray was going. If he had just gone to the right position a basket would have been impossible. Because hes so damn big/athletic it was still a tough shot, but wtf.

Shaq goes to a new team and makes them a contendor and wins championships.
Dwight goes from an organization in which he blamed the coach, gets the coach fired, then blamed lack of good players and leaves the team sinking the organization, to a playoff team with one of the greatest players of all time, sinks the organization, and gets the coach fired.
