    Where Amazing Happens.
Orlando's on a 10-game losing streak, including a road loss to the Washington-penetrating-Wizards, goes into Los Angeles where the clippers are on a 13-game home win streak and beat the likes of Golden State, Boston, and Denver by double-digits, and pull a 4th quarter comeback out of their ass to win the game.

Anyone out there knowledgeable enough about these two teams to be able to shit-can the 12.5-point spread and make a logical case as to what areas Orlando is superior to LA that would allow for them to win the game?

I dont get why people get so surprised when there is an upset in the NBA. Good teams can't go 82-0 and bad teams can't go 0-82. Typical let down spot by the Clipps.

If Clips were to lose that home streak it would be against a shitty team like ORL.

Good thing I bet Orlando... Should have bet the Bobcats. Anytime I see a spread over -10 I take the under dog.

I get that, but does that mean there's no such thing as an intelligent bet? If so, what are we all doing here? If they were to play that game 100 times within the same context, would it not be wise to think LAC would have won and/or covered a vast majority of those times?

This can't be classified as merely an "upset". It's a world-class upset. One of, if not THE hottest team in the league is playing AT HOME against one of, if not THE coldest team in the league ON THE ROAD. The cold team is playing without arguably their best player, but at the very least their best post player. You've got at least two all-stars on the hot team that can manage the post well and one of the best point guards in the league facilitating. Griffin was dominating all game, yet he barely played a lick in the 4th, despite losing their 8-point lead?

My question was actually legitimate. I would like to know how a "sharp" bettor or basketball analyst would look at this game and say, "Orlando has X, Y, and Z. That poses a huge problem for the Clippers' A, B, and C." What's case is to be made for an "intelligent" play on the Magic in this game?

oh you're certainly right that a majority of the time LAC would win and maybe even cover often too, so of course it's wise to bet on them. Just saying it's not guaranteed money, turds do hit the fan once in a while and just nothing you can do about it

Well the 10 pt underdog Ravens beat the Broncos .The Magic have been covering a lot of their games lately even when they're not winning SU. The Clippers probably got over confident and/or lazy, happens all the time. 82 game season, it's a meaningless regular season game, players takes nights off. That's why you don't bet want to bet a lot in these games and practice discipline.

Upset yes... Huge upset no. 12.5 points is not a huge upset. In a course of a long season there will be quite a few of these and on any given Saturday/Wednesday/Thursday in college hoops you will find a lot bigger than this.

Just had to bump this. Clippers go into Memphis and steamroll them, while the Wizards steamroll the Magic in Washington. Just incredible.
