    Celtics ending extremely suspicious
In case you didn't watch it... I'll recap final seconds.

    boston is 9pt favorite

boston up 9 with ball at end of game but 4 second differential b/t game and shot clock.

lee drives and gets fouled with 10 seconds left.

    makes 1/2 FTs. 10pt game.

PHX CALLS TIME OUT- 10 seconds left

they score off the play they drew up. 5 seconds left

PHX pressuring on the inbound play and only open player is brandon bass downcourt.

He catches the ball under the hoop wide open, but instead of putting it in, dribbles out the clock.

    Boston wins by 8.

Yes I had Boston but I've lost plenty of 1pt or 1/2pt games and don't care. Just trying to understand why PHX calls 2 timeouts in the final 30 seconds when they aren't even trying to win the game. Why is phx drawing up plays with 10 seconds left down 10???

Is the thinking that well we aren't going to win...so we might as well try to get a cover for our fans? Just trying to understand.

I'm staying away from betting on any Celtics game for a while

Last time I did, I faded them when they were in their bad blowout losing streak and they won by a blowout to a team that should have killed them

PHX called timeout to sub out the bench. Its also looked on good coaching as a coach will use the final 10s to see how their team can react as a practice when the situation is real - a form of practice so to speak. Hope that explains it for you. Glad you got your bet up too !

Its as if some of you are watching the NBA for the first time. This is a typical play and more often than not teams up by a comfortable margin will usually let the clock run off as was the case here. If the team thats down has the ball of course they usually will try to score. These lines are at times determined by the smallest of things and it can be an absolute coinflip at times.

timeouts are also called because of commercial reasons...

                  more timeouts. more tv commercials....

Maybe time out was called to figure out what side needed to do what..........there are only three people in an NBA game that are on the court the entire game and they are the ones that can influence an outcome.....those referee shirts look like prison bars for a reason.........because some of them are crooks. Keep your unit amounts in control and just know that at some point during the season, you are going to be on the wrong side of the play. No way to avoid it.
