      Spartan, please, please, please don't bet more than you can afford to lose. Set yourself a monthly 'budget' for gambling and if you lose it then you just find another hobby till next month. If you think you are addicted, then the best advice is to seek help. Gamble for the thrill of the win, but do so expecting that in the long run you will LOOSE money. You are not special or 'lucky', you are like the other 99.9% of gamblers who loose money in the long term.

        99.9% of gamblers do not lose. This statistic is a false tale. If it was true, they wouldn't gamble in the first place.

          It isn't a statistic - call it a "figure of speach" that's meant to mean "vast majority". Do you happen to have any statistical evidence to the contrary?
