Glen Davis out = star theory?

Would you count big baby as a "star player" in the sense of the "first game star player out" theory? He's definitely crucial to the magic averaging 16 ppg and 8rpg. Is he star enough for them to warrant a play on the magic by itself? I do kind of like the magic regardless, they seem to get the job done against mediocre teams and although the raptors have been playing well lately, it feels like a letdown spot.

I don't think it's the general public who determine who is or isn't a star, it's up to the team. After all, it's the rest of the team who need to stand up.
In this instance, with the current Magic lineup I think they would consider Davis a star.
