Last year had a shortened season. The 7 and 8 seeds both finished 36-30

They're 4th back from 8th seed, and 4th from the bottom in the west at 9-13 followed by Sac 7-13, Suns 7-15, and New Orleans 5-15. However, for Lakers this is an absolutely horrendous spot to be in. I don't see some 360 turn of events out of nowhere.
