So you honestly think if his team mates didn't hold him back he was actually going to punch a referee because he wouldn't let him touch the ball after a free throw? Yep. Good call.
He walked at him to look tough knowing that his team mates would try and settle him down as if to say "look at me, I'm a beast that can't be tamed". He's not going, nor did he gesture at punching a ref.
It would actually be funny if no one intervened because he would get to the ref and then think "damn, now what am I gonna do? Someone come stop me from doing nothing.
