    Lens for Monday 11/24/08
In Monday's hardwood action I like the Horents-5.5, as the have covered against the Clips 6 straight times, and trust me the Clips are in their first game hom after a 3 game east coast swing, and they are tired and will have to get readjuted to west coast ime zone, etc.Zach Randolph has not had enough time to work with his new team to be a major factor. The Hornets look to get back in form after two nice easy blowouts against another sub par team Okalhoma City. It looks like they are back in form now. I have already pounded this line as I have the feeling that the spread will get higher by gametime.

Orlando will look to get back into the win column against teh Bucks a team taht they are 5-0 straight up and 4-1 ats at home. The Bucks have won two straight and are rimed and ready to get blown out when they face the Magic. I am projectng the line to be 5.5 in favor of the Magic. The Magic lost to Houston at home in their last game and will look to get back into form against the Buck. Andrew Bogut had better get a good night's rest. Dwight Howard is a beast.

Charlotte owns Philly at home. Charlotte is 4-1 straight up and ats against the Sixers at home. This is Styles' play and it looks to be a great one. The Bobcats are playing inspired ball and despite the loss to Milwaukee, they are playing better. in this game they are not expected to win , so as a dog they seem to perform better. We'll take the points which stand at 4.5 righ tnow.

    Hornets-5.5
    Orlando-5.5 (projected)
Charlotte+4.5 (It will go down with reverse movement)

glad to hear "styles" is on with Charlotte. looks like a good pick along with yous CK.

anymore thoughts on the Saints tonight?

tough game to call. they've been inconsistent all year, win one lose one, win one lose one, seems to be the trend for them. this game is their lose game.
too add, bush is out and the secondary is pathetic with all their injuries!
who knows, sean payton may come out with a game plan that is good enough to beat the packers, he seems to do that in prime games.

Gridiron tonight? Don't over analyze this one. I have one word. OVER. WTF are the Saints gonna do? Get good on defense out of the clear blue sky? The Packers have the superior defense, but they also have a good offense too. The Saints have a good offense and sorry defense. The game is played on a carpet. Over she goes!

          clippers gonna be interesting tonite
too many c/f with camby, thornton, kaman, and now zachrandolph
kaman may go to a back-up role and may be traded
norl definitely needed those 2 wins over okcity to boost their confidence
norl is too reliant on paul and west but may get it done in this situation

The line is up for Orlando, and they are -8.5 for todays game up from an opening of 8. Considering that it came out at -105, this is as good as it is gonna get. Throw in the fact that they beat them by 16 points on average, and... well...you get the picture. In the words of Big Red in the movie Rush, "Do it , man."

Maddog I hate Houston in this situation because Miami plays them well at home, I think it's 1-4 straight up for the Rockets. They are alos in their third straight home game so they are well rested. But the Rockets are too hot to go against. Why not bloke, give it a go. I'm off of it as of right now. I would have to get the Heat at +5 to play this game.

You know, peterpan, I like Utah as a second half team at home. Chicago actually plays them well and has an over 500 (6-4 overall and 4-1 ats in Salt lake City) record against the Jazz in their last 10 meetings overall and they are 2-0 ats in the last 2. The problem is that the linemaker keeps on giving the Bulls too many points against the Jazz. I personally feel that this line is a little steep given the fact that the Jazz are coming back off a road trip Without rookie sensation Rose, the Bulls may have problems with depth. But not as much as Utah who will be without Boozer, Korver and Collins. Okur is still trying to get his legs under him, but poured in 23 against the Grizz.

The Bulls are bad but they ar enot as bad as the Grizzlies. I don't like the spread in this game one way or the other

Question of the day....Where is our Yoda?

jalein, you've got to get it together. We need all of the luck we can get. The Yoda is our symbolic wagering angel. We need all of the spells cast on the books that we can get. The linemaker is out to get us, and trick us into making plays that are not profitable. With Yoda's mojo, we can counteract his evil doings with our own special kind of hypnosis.

                            zackattack,

Styles is only handicapping two teams this year, Charlotte and Sacramento, with the theory that those two teams have been pegged by her to lose over 50 games this year.

One look at the ats records of those teams last yer, and it will all begin to make sense to you, if you don't have the knowledge, then you can't speak about it in an unfavorable way. Don't get it wrong there are times when she will go the other way too. One case will happen tonight as she just phoned me with her other pick a few minutes ago as i was working on jalein and our Yoda.

Perfect case and point, hopefully you didn't have the Lakers last night. If you did, you would have found out how good she is the hard way. Since she has been giving her picks, she has only lost once with both of those teams. And while we are at it, she is also going against the Kings tonight and taking the Blazers and the chalk in the late game.

When you know that a team is going to lose 50 games, it is not too hard to handicap them. Actually it becomes quite easy in fact. She keeps up with thier local newspapers, press clippings, etc. She will even call their arenas occasionally and find out if the game is a sell out for that particular evening. Don't knock it until you try it. you will see over the course of the year that she is lights out at handicapping those two particular teams.

                            Styles update:

                            Charlotte+4.5 (played last night)
                            Portland-11.5

                                  Peterpan,

I am playing Orlando and New Orleans for identical amounts. As far as the Purs are concerned, i am laying off of them until Ginobili gets settled back in the fold. I am fond of their under streak though. They are definitely playing old school stye of Spurs basketball. You already know that they are going to slow the Gizzlies down a bit, throw the ball in to Duncan and lineup around the perimeter with jump shooters. It's just what they do.

Omit the Kings and then you have something. If anything, tease the Blazers, they are due for a blowout win at home. The Kings did everything that they could to hang with the mighty Lakers, but they are gassed and then they had to fly to Oregon late night tweak style.

As far as the Bobcats are concerned, you almot have to take them now that it has gone down against the odds. They are a live dog. Cash the ticket.

Yeah, I like the Bobcats+3 at home. They will rattle the cage of the Sixers because they hve not faced the Bobcats with the new shaken up lineup. Augstine has given them an infusion of young fresh blood and they seem to be responding to his resence in the lineup. They even have 3 or 4 plays installed in the gameplan for him now. Styles has done her homework, now let's see how it pans out.

                                                  Ladies and Gentlemen,

We have a PC Play announcement for Turkey Day. I have a write up in NFL Handicapping section of the forum. It's time to make up for any losses and get some extra income for Christmas. I myself am playing it heavy. So much so that i refuse to watch it. I only want to look into my accounts and tally the income after the smoke clears. The PC Play is 5-2 over the last 7 plays. It's time to get paid, Wayne Allan Root style. Strap up your boots and get the whiskey, but please don't spit on the carpet. That's not nice.

Howard has 3 personal fouls with 5 minutes to go in the 1st half. Milwaukee will make their move now with him on the bench. He is unguardable, so I am thinking seriously of taking theMagic in the second half as fully believe he will sit out the rest of the 2nd quarter and the Bucks will pull closer

It is obvious that his presence on the floor makes a big difference. I will be back at the half with a prognostication if warranted

I picked up the Spurs at -2 they just don't have what it takes in the post yet to stop Duncan. Plus the outside shooting of the Spurs can really burn them with their soft defense. I see tons of promise in my Grizzlies, but they aren't ready to win these games yet. It is a win win for me though if the Grizzlies win the game then I lose my bet, but the Grizzlies get another win for their young kids.
