Exactly, you have to think of a point spread as a coin flip. You're betting you're going to flip a tails 5 times in a row with no heads in between. Do you think its likely you do it 5 times or 3?

The fact that you were hanging in there with your last $31 and converted to $650 is awesome. Good stuff.

I think however you should thank the parlay gods that this hit and lay off the five teamers. You've been given a second chance at building your bankroll, and you obviously can pick winners, so best of luck in turning this 650 into much more.

Picking a side in line betting with your eyes closed is coin flipping.

Handicapping sides and playing line bets with educated research is not coin flipping. Being a successful handicapper has nothing to do with luck in the long run.

I am sure he believed he had an edge in all his other bets as well that drained his account to 31 dollars. The odds he would hit this were slim regardless of what he believed would happen in each game. Either way its pretty cool he hit. When I get up big I do similar parlays and one usually falters. Here are 2 parlays I did last night in which one hit (not for much) but what I would have considered for him to do to turn the 31 into a decent amount and then do an all in on one game if thats what he chose to do.
