you have never bet offshore? Why? I have been betting with a local and with greek and betjam and then when they closed Ive been at 5dimes and Heritage. Ive never had a problem with the money aspect. Heritages lines blow but thats what the local and 5D are for.

i have 2 locals that give me an unlimited wager size and weekly limit - bet purely on credit and only meet each week if we hit the $$ amount either way. 1 of the guys gives me the ability to place bets with him overnight online, and both guys pay me with 0 issues ever.

i have heard of horror stories with people getting their money tied up in some of these online poker sites, and i just would not feel comfortable having thousands of dollars tied up in these offshore outlets. im sure the Grade A ones are fine, but i love the local treatment. I get -110 on all totals/lines and i would say each book is square (like a bodog) and sharp (like a pinnacle/greek)

its just a product of the environment....i live in Bath Beach Brooklyn which is basically Mafiadom - bookies were all over the place - heck i was even a bookie for 3 weeks in high school until my uncle cracked me upside the head when he found it

Personally I prefer online. I only play on top notch books and poker sites though for reasons you mentioned. You cant just put your money on joeblowpsportsbook because you will have no problem getting it on but will jump thru hoops to get it off. I used to play Pokerstars for years before Black Friday. Their customer service was by far the bar of what quality should be set to as well as great software. Within 2 weeks of Black Friday they had sent me and every other US player their account balance whiile others like Ultimate Bet and Full Tilt either renigged or stalled forever.

As far as sportsbooks I use 5Dimes or Heritage. Ive heeard other great books like Pinny but never used them. Its all about researching your books. Never had a problem on either.
