    Pistons/Celtics 1Q o/u 46
    Pistons/Celtics 1Q o/u 46

I need contributions on this play.
I'm leaning UNDER 46 for the 1Q of this game for many reasons:
    1) These are 2 teams that tend to start their games on a low-paced note.
    2) Both teams are very defensive.
    3) The 1Q will probably be used more to size each other up than for lightening the scoreboard.
    4) The UNDER has been generally lucrative in the games between these sides. UNDER is 9-2 in the L11 meetings and 6-2 in the L8 meetings in Boston. I don't have the stats but there appears to be a good correlation between 1Q totals and game totals.

I haven't looked at their 1Q scoring averages this season but that is irrelevant here.

Please contribute your opinion and let's make some cash off the first 12 minutes of this game.

Wilforth, scoring average is interesting as :

Detroit is 22.1 gives up 21.7
Boston is 23.7 gives up 25.1

I think your right about low pace as want to see strategies of the game but I think Detroit is going to want to score and get that lead.

I actually think that line is right where it should be, I am going to lay off unless somebody else can convince me but with information provided, this being revenge game for Pistons, Boston at home, its 50/50 on this.

        MSG,

I agree with you on ALL things you've said. The o/u actually looks 50/50 but Detroit is the more likely to win the 1Q.
I may let the 1Q play pass. You don't lose a bet you didn't play.

Yeah right on haha, I have Detroit at +2, actually think they will outscore Boston, but on other hand if Boston suprises me and comes ahead, Detroit wont go down without a fight as that 1Q will determine the other 3.

Goodluck though and lets cash in tonight

I think the plays tonite on this game is Pistons 1hf and boston 2nd hf..

Pistons usally get off to a good start maybe not lastnite but its hard to get off to a good start when King James is on fire.. But i see this game going like this.. Pistons get off to a good lead in the 1st half with the Celts climbing back in the 2nd half..

            Pistons +points 1hf
            Celts +-points 2nd half.

I let it pass. I would have cashed it if I played. I didn't summon enough courage.
I also remember posting in one thread that I thought the Celtics could open a 5-7 point lead in the 1H that would only widen in the 2H. But I couldn't summon enough courage to play Celtics -7. The Celtics are one team that play to the strength of the opposition. They struggle to cover the spread against mediocre opposition but do so clinically against the best teams.

Yeah, which is something to remember from now on when I go against Boston as I normally go against them, so have to keep in mind they actually compete vs similiar talent to them, so good info.
