#3I wouldn't be surprised if the Spurs or Lakers win by 7 plus. Besides the Heat, the Lakers have the most talent and that's debatable. The Lakers are playing a lot loose after Brown got fired. Yes, they beat bad teams, but that's who they've played. It is what it is. After the Lakers beat the Spurs tomorrow, people will realize how dangerous this team really is.Originally posted by dirtycash66Spurs are 6-1 Lakers 3-4 all the Lakers wins were against bad teams... pistons, kings and warriors. i see the spurs taking this by 10pts easyComment -

#5ok, lets forget about the record. the spurs are clearly the better team and they have the better coach the only thing the lakers have is home court advantage, if this game was being played in San Antonio, we would not even be having this debate about who's going to win.Comment -

#6Throw out the records right. Tell me how the Spurs have the better team. If so, why is the line only -1? Duncan, Parker, Manu. Dwight, Kobe, Gasol. Hmmm, I think the Lakers have a "better" team. I just don't see how you're still confident in a play where the spread is 1. We don't know how the real Lakers will do after Brown has left. They took care of business against the bad teams. I'm seeing a Lakers W tomorrow. The entire board is on the Spurs because they're still on Lakers auto fade.Comment -

#8Spurs started out as dogs, correct? Line moving steadily in Spurs' favor. I don't think it's a trap, looks like books just want 50/50 on this one. Knicks line looks more like a trap if you ask me.
Personally I think the boost Lakers got from firing their coach will have worn off tonight. Spurs playing well enough to win this and probably want it enough too. How bad is that flu though?Comment -

#10Lakers didn't just beat bad teams -- they beat bad Detroit and then they beat 2 more bad teams because the teams had lost key bigs so they were vulnerable to being abused in the paint. If the Spurs bigs can put up enough of a battle to not be completely dominated, and Kawhi Leonard can pester Kobe enough, the game should be won easily by Spurs firepower coming off the bench, as well as Parker dominating Duhon/Morris (Blake is out). I think the flu bug is pretty much behind them at this point...Comment -

#11I don't really look into the teams the Lakers beat, but the performance. And their performances against the Kings and Detroit did not impress me at all. The Spurs don't just have the better team and way better coach, but their bench is one of the best in the NBA, and looks even better when compared to Lakers unproductive one. The bench plays a huge part in these big clashes. Still not sure if Parker is back, and if he is, not sure if he is 100%, which is the only factor holding me back.Originally posted by pip2Lakers didn't just beat bad teams -- they beat bad Detroit and then they beat 2 more bad teams because the teams had lost key bigs so they were vulnerable to being abused in the paint. #12I was reading one of the Spurs blogs last night, and they were worried because the Spurs had been turning over the ball too much -- 13 times per game. Not completely sure, but I think the radio announcer for the Lakers-Kings game said the Lakers had 13 turnovers by the end of the first half...Comment -

#14The Lakers last two wins didn't impress you but the Spurs six wins did? HA what games are you watching. The Spurs didn't exactly flex their muscles in any of their wins. Fact is Spurs are one of the worst rebounding teams in the league and now they're playing Dwight Howard who dominates the Spurs each and every year.Originally posted by pip2Lakers didn't just beat bad teams -- they beat bad Detroit and then they beat 2 more bad teams because the teams had lost key bigs so they were vulnerable to being abused in the paint. #18The Spurs beat OKC, which is a lot more than the Lakers could do right now. You quoted my entire post, but the only thing you seemed to get out of it was that I am impressed by the Spurs. Not all that much. Look at it another way, I am thinking this is roughly the same game that the 2 teams had in LA last spring, except, plug Howard in for Bynum, subtract Ramon Sessions, and throw in a bunch of rust for both teams...Spurs should win this easily.Comment -

sure howard is more athletic, duncan is such a vet though. howard is still recovering, give a minor edge to howard but not huge. parker handles the floor better than blake on LA but kobe is the X factor for both teams. TBH i would say manu and pau is a wash but i havent seen manu play this year yet, pau has been on fire.Comment -

#21Did you forget they're playing the spurs, the oldest and slowest team in the league? The line is 196. Do you really think the lakers will score more than 90 against the spurs D, or that the spurs with a hobbled ginobli and a sick parker will score more than 100?Originally posted by DDK997Wrong, did you forget D'Antoni is expected to arrive....wow this forum is insane...Comment -

#23The spread is a no play for me. You know what you're most likely to get from the Spurs. With the Lakers, it's a roll of the dice until they get settled in. Do the Lakers show up tonight? Or do they go on cruise control until D'Antoni shows up?Comment -

#24Yes the Lakers beat bad teams. The Lakers also lost to bad teams. 2-0 under Bernie and without the cancer that is Mike Brown. I see this game being decided in the 4th quarter but with both Nash and Blake out, Tony Parker could cause a lot of problems.Comment -
