Trends
Curious about what most cappers on here do when looking at trends. How much does that go into your analysis of capping games?

I have been looking recently at them and tonight found something interesting looking at the Atlanta on road vs IND.

ATL is 4-2 ATS on road
IND is 2-3 ATS at home

Home team is 6-0 ATS
Favorite is 6-1 ATS
ATL is 0-4 last 4 in IND

Now ATL is +2, when looking at this particular game with the trends I posted, would you be solid in betting IND -2?

Another example is NY Knicks at Boston

These are the matchup trends:

Favorite is 4-0-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings.
Knicks are 2-5-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Boston.
Road team is 8-2-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings.
Knicks are 3-13-1 ATS in the last 17 meetings.
So favorite is Boston and last 8 NY has not done well ATS
But then last 11, road team has done well.
Then again, NY last 17 only 3 ATS wins.

What is your opinion of capping analysis when you notice trends like this? To me it just seems like both teams are made to look most appealing, or "neutral", so to the everyday Joe that does a coin flip, its 50/50, which the books want.

I am curious though for true cappers, how much these trends matter.
