Large favorites lose routinely in the NBA. You're throwing away $$ most of the time, even when you hit your teasers. Keep em simple and their not too bad tho. Did one last night w/ Griz -1 and Mav/Blazers over for the game.... it hit but they both would have hit w/out teasing

I always thought they were kinda risky because its a quick hit fast paced league. Points can be scored and or given up in flurries at any point in the game. Teasing a dog from 9.5 to say 15.5 might look solid all game but all it takes is a weak final 2 or 3 minutes and they go from being down 10-12 the whole 2nd half to losing by 17 or more. Same goes for totals. Nba is really the only league where leads can disappear quick and often when compared to other sports.

NFL teasers seem much better than the NBA ones. Blowouts happen quite a lot in the NBA and last minute foul/FTs can kill your teasers.

Yea NFL and college football teasers are def the best. A lot of the time you can tease either team and still have a winner. Case in point the Oregon-USC game and Bama-LSU game last saturday. Books tend to have very accurate lines on most of these matchups

The strength of NFL teasers comes from the ability to work around the key numbers (3,7,etc for spreads, 37,41,etc for totals). For example, 15% of NFL games end in a margin of 3. That's HUGE.

The NBA does not have key numbers like the NFL does. The distribution of margins of victory in NBA is much more uniform, so you're getting less for your money when you're buying those points.
