2 below average teams that don't play much D. Might not hit but its hard to pass up at 198

Then why is it 198? Looking at past trends from previous seasons won't get you far in betting.

I assume it's 198 b/c the Pistons have had low scoring output so far this year. Yea, the past is a silly thing to consider when predicting future events.

Denver would have to score 110+ to cover over I'm thinking

At that point playing Denver over 104 would be the best bet. I might just lay off even though i think it should go over as long as the Pistons can stay close to keep the pressure on them

I'm on the under for the exact reason you're on the over....there's no reason for this total not to be higher, yet it's at 198 anyway, books always have reasons when they do such.....i also agree with the dude that said you can't worry about past year too much, but in the NBA it does help more than most sports....regardless, i'm going with the books, who obviously think this is going to be slower paced than last year's games...good luck anyway

i mean you have a good point, of course we need to look at past events to predict future outcomes- that's what we do in sport- but if was that easy don't you think this total would be at 210 right now? Detroit is a very different team of late- i think it's a mistake to simply take the last 5 games and use only that as your indicator....any other reasons?

I def understand. The last 6 times they played it went over but that doesn't mean this one will. Just felt Denver being at home after dropping 3 str8 will propel the total over and books are trying to get ppl to take the under by throwing out that low line. Detroit seems to be the unknown here

I agree if Pistons keep it close they will cover the O but in that case why not take pistons + the points?

Pistons in game 3 of a 6 game road trip and first of a 4in5, averaging 88 points in their 0-3 start. Nuggets on two days of rest and playing their home opener after a disappointing 0-3 start. The Pistons aren't going to have an easy time tonight, and I really doubt that if they're trailing in this game that they continue to wear themselves out at elevation with Sacramento the next night.
I'm on the Nuggets -10, and I kind of doubt Detroit breaks 85 tonight.
