    Lean for Sunday 11/15/08
I like Toronto -5 tomorrow, as the Raptors are on their second home game after the road trip, and they are now primed for a ats blowout against the Heat, a team that has lots of youth and enthusiasm, but little experience. The Heat are 1-4 ats playing above the border losing by average margins of 13.75 or 14 points. No use in fighting against the trend.

    Raptors-5

    In NFL I like

    Ravens+7
    Seattle+3
    Jags+3

I am 5-1 in football combined over the last 2 days so hopefully i can continue the tear on the gridiron

Did you see that NY line? Knicks underdog at home vs a crappy Dallas team. I like NY here, as there style recently is shoot it out, and they get to 100 pretty quick with Dallas not reaching 100 often this season. Think going to play Knicks +1.5 and possibly ML as well

As for the Raptors game, i love that play... the heat coming off a dd victory and the raptors having fallen to 4-4, well i watched the heat game against portland, and they really have no presence under center, which is why if bosh isn't enough, o'neal should just have a field day against the heat.

      TOR -5 (endorsed)

and as far as football... i will forever remember the ravens game with the patriots last year and it really felt like the patriots got some help, but point being that their defense made sure that every opposing offensive player went home in pain. (My eagles did it first, but i have to concede that with no ray lewis, we're just not at their level). Also, if the eagles defense could stop brandon jacobs last week, they would have won, but sadly he was too big and strong for them... noone is too big or strong for ray lewis... (i like his quote something to the extent of "you just have to get a running start to take on a big guy", acting like he's not worried) . From there a run game and a quarterback who can keep from messing it up (which flacco has been more than capable) and that defense will be fired up enough to do the rest.

      BAL +7 (all over)

Susumi808, the T-Wolves will have the carry over effect working in their favor, and Denver has played a lot of games in a short amount of time (4 games in 6 days). The T-Wolves also lost a heartbreaker against the Blazers, so the line will be inflated in their favor (9). Their record is 1-7, but they play hard and they are 4-2 ats against the Nuggets. A 1 point buy and now you have yourself playing a team with a good ts record playing against a team with 4 road games in 6 days under their belt. Denver was the dog in the road trip games, but now they are expected to blow a team out that plays them well. The only change is Billups.

            I say Minnesota+10 with a 1 point buy

The line for the Raptors this morning was -4.5, so naturally I bought off the hook and I am playing the Raptors-4. With all of the money in the entirefree world on Denver, the line dropped to Minnesota+8.5. No matte what I am buying that line up to 10, and playing the T-Wolves+10 today. So there are my 2 plays for NBA for today. Let's get em CK Mafia. Good luck to all

maddog, I don't like the Mavs either, but this is their 1st game of a three stop road trip, and teams traditionally try to get off to a good start on road trips, especially in an out of conference situation. The Knicks have one of the worst defenses i nthe league, and at home they give up 102.4 and Dallas gives up an astonishing 95 on the road. So if I had it to do i would take the Mavs, but as i have said, they won't be getting any more of my money because they play with no sense of urgency.

Alex68, I can't take an under when the Knicks have such poor defense and such a potent offense. If the Mavs were playing a slow tempo team then yes an under would look good, but New York is going to force the tempo a la D'Antoni style, so I would not take that under. new york shoots the three too well.

They will have the carry over effect working in their favor. They are getting a game spread for the 1st half. No need in looking for consensus numbers, as Denver is the prohibitive favorite in this game 65% to 35%.You can just imagine how much everybody is pounding the 1st half line. I think it's inflated. The T-Wolves are 1-7. You can't blame the public for their thinking. I have the T-Wolves+10 for the game.

So I am laying off of that 1st half and waiting for tomorrow to take the Suns in the 1st half against Utah, a team that is coming home after a looong road trip and playing their first game at home. Then I will take Utah in their second home game, when the are ready to blow out Milwaukee.

I am a Detroit hog, so I am having a hard time laying off of the game with Phoenix, but I want to watch and see what happens in the 1st half, because Phoenix i playing with passion again, and although they lost by the spread in Sacramento, they played well being so short handed. The fresh Nash may produce some sweet jumpers in the second half. Detroit has always had their number (oh don't I know so well!), but the Pistons are in the last game of their 4 game west coast road trip, and they may falter late. When they get back into town, they will have to get re-adjusted to the Eastern time zone, and they will have a difficult time covering against a streaking Cleveland team. I will take the Cavs in that game, and ride the Pistons when they play Boston in the next game in Beantown with revenge. Detroit always travels well and by that time the jell will be in place. They will cover against the C's, as the C's keep getting inflated lines.
