The Heat are defending champions playing a team that is 4 games under .500 and they are a three point dog. That line is saying LA is pretty much a lock.

Game still needs to be played. I think Lakers will look sharp tonight. They are playing well.

Look at the majority of bets and money on the heat and look at what the line is still.....

I'm agreeing with you that the Line is saying LA is the play.

Hell, if LA was +2, +1, Pk, -1, or -2 it would indicate they were the play BUT IT'S -3! That's almost like Vegas guaranteeing they win this game.

All I'm saying is that to the novice better Miami is the play and to the average to experienced better the Lakers are the play.

It's similar to when an unranked college team is favored over a ranked college team. The unranked team typically wins. Tonight you have a team four games under .500 that is favored by 3 over the defending champions a team the public loves. That tells us all the Lakers are the play.

Sharp money will be on LA and probably a lot of it.

I just think LA looks a little too easy. Vegas likes taking sharp money too and it is a Thursday night game. A ton of money will be on LA.

Lakers are -2 because everyone is healthy. You don't get points with the Lakers at home when all the guys are healthy. Books are not like you. They don't start calling a team "sub .500" 40 games into the season with half a season left. They don't set lines based on records. They set lines based on perception, models, among several other things and their models tell them that the Lakers are a lot better than their record shows, hence the reason why the Lakers have been favored in almost every game this year that all 4 all stars have started.

What did you mean? All you said was it looked too obvious? So you meant Miami would take over late? I don't get your comment.

I make bets based on situations, what I know about the teams, and lines. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I move on to the next one. I should have stuck with the original bet but wanted some extra action on the big game.

My lean was Miami but obviously I wasn't confident enough to take them for a few reasons, many of which were why you took LA.

It was a good spot for LA but I still don't think they're that good so I passed on a side and took the under.
