Of course I'm happy when the Thunder win. I'm a fan first. My life doesn't revolve around gambling every single day.

i have to agree with TWizzle....you were hedging. People on this site view you as more of a fan then a gambler.

I am more of a fan than a gambler. That is a correct assumption. Going to Thunder games is a hell of a lot more fun than hoping the Craptors cover a spread against the Blazers or something. My best friend also works for the Thunder organization so it's cool to hear things about the team that the public never gets to know. It's also cool hearing stories about opposing team's shoot arounds and some of the things they do. I guess you could say I am a lot closer to the team I root for than most people.

With that said, I feel like I have a pretty good feel for OKC. I warned not to bet them yesterday and what do you know, they lost and didn't cover. Some people call me a homer but I don't know how I'm a homer when I advocate going against them in a lot of situations but yes, I am a fan so of course I get excited when they do well.

I'm still confused on how I was hedging when I said I thought the Heat would win and cover. I had no bet on the game. Had OKC won, I would have been happy yes but why wouldn't I have been?

ok.....its just odd that you spend so much time hanging out with a bunch of degenerate gamblers like myself if you're more of a fan. but it is good to have all types in the subforums.

for me, i cant understand how someone can be so passionate about a bunch of overpaid athletes who can give a shit less about you. id rather look to make money on my addiction as i control the bets i place (you dont control if durant makes the game winning 3)

I like gambling. I got to Vegas 1-2 times a year and that's when I go nuts. I bet casually during the season.

As for making money, no one in this forum is doing that unless you're just gullible to what people say. At least I'm realistic about things.

Big D - if you want, i have an organized spreadsheet of my results for all of 2011 and 2012. Prior to that i never cared all that much, as i was much more of a wild gambler who would chase and not take this too seriously. So in my lifetime i might be around even but if you want my results just let me know and i'll post. You can then cross check with the threads.

I've seen your comments before about how no one wins at this etc etc - if you keep that mindset you will never win at sports gambling. Considering you do post here daily, i bet that deep down you want to get this figured out. Trust me, i was horrible in my 20's.....never that i needed a loan shark or anything crazy, but i would give away 2-3k every year.
