Going to do things differently this season. From now on a 1 unit play means to win 1 unit (last season 1* meant risking 1 unit). So for example 1* on Miami -8 @-110/$1.90 means risking 1.1 units to win 1 unit.

Plays are late as had to take 24 hours off, as I was that upset over the Tonga v Scotland rugby league match. Back now with a clear head. No time for write-ups.

Everybody expected the Lakers to lose yesterday(myself included) except the Lakers. Last year they started the season horribly and it cost them all year playing catch up basketball and barely making the playoffs. This early in the season I think the back to back is a great thing, as the Lakers momentum from last night is still fresh, they don't have to travel far, and they will have just as much motivation as the Warriors (Pacific rivals). The Lakers will most likely lose, however they will fight hard no doubt and try and maintain what will be an upbeat attitude after the fantastic play from their bench guards, and more importantly Gasol (post Howard) instantly looking more like the old Gasol. People sleep on Gasol, he may not be done yet. Only two years ago I wrote an article (I used to write NBA for media sites) calling Gasol the best PF in the world and most agreed with me. Also Nash looked sharp, despite the numbers not showing much, I liked what I saw from the old man

I agree expect I don't think Nash looked that good. Farmar though, oh boy, watch out for jordan this year. He was a top HS player in the region, than played for UCLA and always looked good for the Lakers. He will have a great season in my opinion. The only problem for the Lakers will be when teams start realizing that guys like Henry can't shoot and making those kinds of adjustments. But the Lakers definetly have value right now.

On Sacramentos side Demarcus Cousins was a beast in the final few games of preseason. There has been good competition between Vasquez and Thomas for the starting PG role, both have different strengths which gives new coach Michael Malone different options throughout the game(whether he needs someone to settle down the offence or inject some point scoring ability). Their is a lot of hope for for Sacramento after a large cleanout of the organisation, a nice first round draft pick in Ben Mclemore, the stadium will be buzzing tonight.
