    Leans for Monday 11/10/08
I like the Raptors 1st half against the Celtics. The Raptors lost in blowout fashion against the Hawks their last time playing in a big game. I know better than most as i lost on that one. But with this being the third game of the road trip, teams usually perform better after a couple of games on the road, and start playing with a strong sense of urgency.

Boston played against a team that usually takes something out of you after playing them (Detroit), while the Raptors beat up on Charlotte. Boston played horribly in the 4th quarter allowing the Pistons to make the score respectable losing 27-19 in the final frame. The Raptors won the 4th quarter against the Bobs 29-12, shutting down any possibility of a back door cover for the Bobcats. I like the Raptors to stay close in the 1st half like they usually do against the Celtics, as they have gone 3-1 ats in the 1st half the last 4 contests in Beantown.

    Raptors 1st half +5

It has a chance to stay close 1st half, looking for a blowout by mid-4th though

Maddog, I actually like that spin. It shows some good research on your behalf. I guess that it is likely that the Raptors would win the 1st half as well. As far as any of the other games. I think that Oklahoma City will get dusted off by Indiana, but not enough to make it an official play for me today. The Pacers are a lot better than their record, and they are capable of playing with top tier teams. Oklahoma City only makes 2.5 3pointers a game and Indiana makes 8 per game. That in its'self is a glaring statistic. The Pacers are in their second game of a homestand, and they played well in their last game winning 98-80 over the Nets. The Thunder will be without Chris Wilcox who is their heart and soul in the middle. I think that this will be a wire to wire job.

And now for the ugly. The reason that i didn't make this an official play is that the Pacers shoot way too many jumpers so far this season, and have absolutely no consistent presence in the middle. They give up too many easy baskets at the rim.

That means that they have the propensity to allow for backdoor covers.
