Today I like the Washington Wizards 1st half, Toronto +3 for the game, Miami 1st half +3.5 and for the game +6.5.
Washington has had the Knicks number in a big way in first halves at home, and also they have led at the break in ll of their games this year, which translates to me that they are a fast starting team that has had problems finishing off opponents. I expect that they will come out with both barrels blazing in this contest as tey are winless on the season, and playing a team that has abslolutely no shot blocker, or defense for that matter. The spread is a little hefty for the game, and I think it will be a full 6 by gametime.
Toronto is 5-2 ats on the road in Atlanta. After dropping a home contest to the Pistons, the Raptors will look to get the combination of Bosh and O'Neal going, as O'Neal has not been under performing to start the season. But overall, this is a potential playoff matchup, so it will be a very interesting matchup.
San Antonio is just a short handed team right now, and they have very little scoring outside of Mason, Parker and Duncan. They are also an old team. The fact that they played a doubl overtime thriller against the T-Wolves on Wednesday doesn't help their cause. The Spurs are a traditionally slow starting team anyway so this years' early struggles come as no surprise. Miami is an up and coming team, that plays well at hom and poorly on the road. this can be attributed to the rookie laced squad that is being put on the floor. But they play with lots of energy, and I think that it will be enough to get them the back door cover against a perrenial power tonight.
I also like Dallas 1st half against the Nuggets. The new players on the Nuggets haven't had time to jell yet, and Dallas just needs to play with a sense of urgency
