I don't know story about how or why he is in this Roush car here, but pleased for him he was able to peel off a fast lap to start to justify it.

i like seeing him run well too, maybe that #99 team/car is part of the problem....i would love to see him get some confidence and run well..he had a good run most of the race last week too

This should help his confidence, being in a top car. We should see a glimpse of what he is or isn't. Should be interesting.

i was too, but pulled trigger last minute beofre the sessions cause i was afraid those might be best odds on him, but who knows

this is usually 1 of the easiest tracks to handicap and pick winners for(imo), but with all these senarios, some teams just trying things for chase, wild card implications, ect...just seems hard, but maybe im just over-thinking it

If he actually said "I will take pole", I think that means something. More than most others saying it. MM sounds like he is working off a script most of the time.

Great bet on Bowyer over Truex. He is definitely faster than Truex on this track historically. Truex likes the higher banked grooves, Bowyer tends to run lower flatter section. Watching Bristol only confirmed the fact that Bowyer won't miss a beat here, running the low flatter portion fast, not sure where Truex will try to race.

Obviously this track suits his style much better than Truex. He is killing it in practice today. Waltrip said he expected Bowyer to have a big day, not that he I listen to him for my bets, but only confirms what I expected.

truex is a FADE here imo too, only 1 top 15 finish in his career (took #99 >56 for race)

Not sure what to make of Stewart, looks like hell in practice. After last week, qualifying soo well on one of his better tracks then never competing in the race. I think he may already be focused on the chase races, he was soo disproportionately stronger in those last year. I want to fade him, but will probably just stay the hell away, lol, too hard to figure.

Going out early for Q going to really slow anyone down today. Bet that track will really handle better as it cools, so hot now. Stewart never seems to qualify as well as he runs I guess, and they did just say his car is the same he finished 3rd in the spring race, and it ran similiarly as it has so far today. Jr team said also using his last Richmond car which finished 2nd and said it was running similiarly as well.

i think only thing sessions really shows today is if u have a solid setup to start with, track just going to be totally different with temp differnce...but guarnteed some cars that look not good today will shine tomorrow night, and other way too
