Alright boys were back to pocono this weekend....all 3 nascar series will be on the track this weekend, with sprint cup and trucks at pocono, and nationwide will be racing at IOWA....trucks will be saturday afternoon, and nationwide saturday night race...i love 2 series racing on saturdays!! well all i can say is this has been incredible few months, and hoping it continues in pocono this weekend going for lucky 13th winning cup race in a row!!!

POCONO is a 2.5 mile long tri-oval flat track...banking is 14 degrees in turn1, 8 degrees in turn 2, and 6 in turn 3...there is just 2 degrees banking on the straights...the frontstretch is 3,740 feet, with the back being 3.055, and the shortshoot being just 1,480 feet

this track will be alot different even though the last race here was just a short 6-weeks ago, its always different, defnatley not exactly like race #1...personally love coming back to tracks for 2nd time, because already have all my notes current so saves me alot of time during the week not having to refresh by watching 4-5 past events since i already have and took notes ...ive already started flipping through my recent entries from june

as always all leans and information from the thread regulars is always welcome in this thread...this is why we all win pretty much every single week...its a combined effort by all of us, and i for 1 appreciate all the input/thoughts every week by the regulars

SPRINT CUP SCHEDULE:

PRACTICES: FRIDAY at noon and 3:30pm (both airing on SPEED channel)

QUALIFYING: SATURDAY at 10:30am (ESPN2)

RACE: SUNDAY @ noon airing on ESPN

PRACTICES: FRIDAY at 5:30pm and 7:30pm (both un-aired on tv)

QUALIFYING: SAATURDAY 4:30 pm airing on ESPN2

i love these weekends with full-slates and 2 races on saturday is the best

plus i love the trucks racing at pocono..and like IOWA as well (wish cup went there)

plus i dont need to do my usual tons of hours of tape since i have fresh notes...just go over last race, and all august race notebooks for last few years...its like i get off early everyday!!!

u be suprsied how different performances are just as track changes alot in these 6 weeks baking in the sun, especially after the fresh pave job..definatley not just a replay of 6 weeks ago..track surface will be totally different and set-ups will be too

I called 5 Dimes and they couldn't give me a definite time on when the odds will be posted.......Guess they are busy since the oylmpics are going on now I guess.
