Alright boys were off to KENTUCKY for only the 2nd CUP race on this track...not as much to go off of this week with just 1 race to go off of, but it is a 1.5 mile oval, so other 1.5 mile track stats can be used as another slight factor as well for me...

ALL 3 series will be in Kentucky this weekend for a big triple-header of races fron thursday-saturday, ALL NIGHT RACES!

KENTUCKY is a 1.5 mile tri-oval...banking is 14 degress in all turns, 8 degrees on the frontstretch and 4 degrees on the back...frontstretch is 1,662 feet long, and back is 1,600 feet long, track has been around since 200, and nationwide and truck series have been running here before CUP got its 1st race last summer..

boys its been just an absolute cash cow this season, and been on fire last month especially...as always, all the regular guys on the thread make it possible to have such a great season and their input makes this thread what it is every week and as always i much appreciate it, and im sure every1 does..every1 sharing opinions/input every week is essential to every1

im watching last seasons race today and getting out my notebooks and the thin notebook i have on KENTUCKY

SPRINT CUP SCHEDULE:

PRACTICES: FRIDAY 11:30am and 1:30 pm (both on speed channel)

QUALIFYING: FRIDAY at 5pm (speed channel)

RACE: SATURDAY NIGHT at 6:30pm on TNT

PRACTICES: 6:30pm thursday and 9am friday (friday practice airing on speed channel)

QUALIFYING: 3:30pm friday

RACE: FRIDAY night at 7pm on ESPN2

I watched the Kentucky race this morning what I noticed was long runs some of the drivers wouldn't of made it untill the late cautions also the race starts in daylight finishes in darkness

too early to tell for me...ill have a much better idea once i finish up all my stuff and personal notebook study

not basing it off just last years race thats for sure...teams will have alot more data now and things wil lbe totally different imo

probably actually go up for the race

As always but what I did notice was he didn't quite have the speed to get to the front in last years race

teams have tons more data after that race, set-ups will be much better for lot of teams this time around

KYLE hasnt seen inside of a top 10 finish on a 1.5 track since he won at kentucky last year, besides at charlotte races

not to mention his car troubles latley

just cant be sure ill bet him early yet

overall tough week boys, but we will get there

well he did but his 1.5 mile finishes have been VERY sub-par outside of charlotte races..and really 2 tracks are totally different...not 1 finish inside top 10 since last season when he won here at kentucky besides those

I think the 18 bunch Has a good run. Newman finished well here last year but done betting him til they make a crew chief change

when i first starting getting into nascar was when he was a stud in the #12, took me longer than it should have to wake up after the great run he had those years

when he does win, its rarely becuase he has the car, its usually luck or milegae, not cause he out-races any1

Carl Edwards is the newest driver thats always over valued odds wise, and just never wins races anymore

didnt take me as long to wake up and stop betting him to win thankfully

well im #18 fan, so every1 hates my guy.... and i also like denny Hamlin alot

liked kasey early too, but got sick and tired of hearing how hot he was by my girlfriend every weekend..lol

I think one thing to consider this week is how good Joe Gibbs Nationwide team has always been on this track, and how Logano has dominated the race several times. (Kyle won it last year and Logano the 3 years before that in a row)

won 4 of last 5 races he has been in, he is pretty much automatic play anywhere right now

hes the easy pick, who else has a shot thats not under +400 the tough thing

considering flying to play some poker somewhere and then going to the nationwide/cup races....pretty damn awsome there last season

I like Logano a lot as a matchup pick in the cup race... He has a ton of experience on the track, and he's been on fire lately.

He finished 10th at Sonoma, and let's face it... road races are not his specialty. There's been speculation about whether or not he'll be back in the 20 next year (although a lot died down after he won at Pocono.) He's just looked focused lately, and barring a wreck or engine problem, I can't see him having a bad race. I don't know that he wins, but I plan on loading up on him in matchups and throwing some on him to win the race.
