Could Chevy’s series-leading fuel efficiency help to deliver its first Indy 500 win since 2002? Can Lotus, which has only turned a few laps at the Brickyard, find the speed and reliability to measure up?
And what about the drivers? Most are looking to break through and earn their first Baby Borg trophy, a few are hoping to win for a second, third or fourth time, and one or two could be driving to save their careers.
