NATIONWIDE series @ Bristol weekend schedule:

PRACTICES: 10:30am (est) and 2pm (est) both airing on SPEED channel

QUALIFYING: 10:30am saturday morning airing on SPEED channel

NATIONWIDE series RACE @ Bristol: is SATURDAY at 1pm airing on ESPN

**i love these early start times for both the Sprint Cup and NATIONWIDE series schedules this weekend

Thank G_d You guys have started DLS. With the early race time means race broadcast starts at 3.30am instead of 7.00am for me, like last 3. Sounds worse but it's actually much better, and even better when we end DLS down here soon making it an extra hour earlier. I find it much easier to plan a nap Sunday afternoon so I can go through all the pre-race stuff to race end, rather than trying to go to bed and wake up for the start. (as Rickie has noted

After a great run at Vegas (1st part of the race) maybe Dale Jr will get pumped and and win one at Bristol. It's been a while.

i havent made any yet but i will sometime b4 the sessions...i always make at least a few for every race

i dont see much value in any of the top priced guys right now....maybe a mid-pack and lower but no decisions yet

still trying to decide if im going to drive up for the weekend at BRISTOL, or just stay home and enjoy the 2 races and ncaa tournament...im sill tired from being in vegas for a week, but still havent decided what im doing yet

That makes sense. Maybe you'll be rested enough by Saturday. I don't see much value either just took Jimmy because of his run last week and the potential for him to drop to 5 or 6 after qual.

still got 1 more Spring @ Bristol race to watch then ill start making my early wagers sometime this evening after i look over my notebooks, ect. again...still dont think there much value in top few guys but may grab 1 and a few longer odds

still havent decided to drive up or not, but leaning that way now

just looking at couple early wagers so far with biffle, kennseth, and kurt busch(big longshot)....all at pretty long odds, just havent pulled the trigger on any favorites yet.....KYLE wont get too much lower than he already is....debating on edwards or jimmy for a early bet, but might just stay put til after the sessions on friday...dont think its going to make that much a difference really...

still deciding if im driving up for the Sprint Cup race or not...my buddy from high-school and his dad just got there in his RV so im extra temped now..lol...but if ncaa keep going this great i may have to stay here, but they wont im sure

also leaning edwards as hes ALWAYS starts up front @ bristol avg a 3.3 starting position here the last 4 races...so right now @+1000, i really cant see him being double-digits come later in the week, but thats just my opinion....but if u like edwards here, i would take him early rather than waiting til close to racetime

still debating taking kyle now or waiting...he usually doesnt qualify very well @ Bristol so theres a chance those odds MAY get better on him, but its risky...1 thing is for sure they wont get much worse than they already are...guy has won 4 of last 6 at Bristol

NO IDEA why smoke is top 3 favorite odds wise early at bristol...been 1 of his worst tracks for a while now...especially in his own equipment

Nice picks Mike. Kurt moved to 500 more since the open so I'd say you waited to the right time. There's a lot of talk about Jr since his early run last week and him starting at 2700 what do you think, is he running strong enough to close the deal? What is Letartes (sp) record there?

i mean i never bet Dale Jr., but i must admit this is 1 of his better tracks to run in top 15, but just not sure about closing the deal...all that said i think +2600 or so is worth a risk if u are leaning him anyway....its 1 of the very few times i would even consider JR. on my roster....i just havent decided on alot of things yet....if i take kyle he will take up alot of room that i have to play with odds/# of drivers wise so thats why i havent taken him yet....im just leeaving myself plenty of wiggle room with my numbers right now...

Already took Edwards +1000 early........May add 1 or 2 more drivers later.

Kyle also looks like a play but will take a chance and wait.

Bristol is more of an exciting race to watch than to bet on for me. More variables in this race.

The race in Fontana the week later is more of a betting man's race IMO.

i think they are all betting mans races....theres advantages and money to be made at every single race on the schedule...actually Bristol been 1 of the easier races to handicap over last 5 years than most tracks

i really think edwards has value, BUT edwards has problems winning races...not sure why but he just cant close out and get 1st place last few years....but he starts up front here alot so maybe he turns it around and wins this time

mike, I haven't been able to find nationwide odds all week. I figured maybe today there would be some but there isn't, even though race is set for 1 PM tomorrow (~20 hours away). Are they not done with qualifying or something?

nationwide qualifying is in the morning....they started practicing at 10am so thats why havent been up today....

but i havent seen them all week either now that u mention it, probably be up tonight though id say

ha, may as well not have nationwide betting at all

typically bovada will have some sort of odds at some point and the pull them as we get towards qualifying. This week they didn't post anything.

nationwide odds up on 5D yisman so u may want to check ur book too bud....

So where in this thread did u take Biffle at +1600? Seen u had him and other drivers on your watch list but not a bet. Your great after they get done qualifying. Try posting your Biffle pick and odds before they qualify. Bit tougher.

those are my early bets...the 4 leans i said above the day before quailfying...biffle, edwards, kurt and kennseth...

biffle was +1600, matt +1300, edwards +1000, kurt +3600

and just like it says i waited on kyle...

and i was dead on except kennseth and he still wont be much worse i doubt....

biffle was +1600 all week at 5dimes BTW..odss didnt move 1 time...every1 knows where i bet and could easily see them

Didn't say that you don't know the sport because you do. No doubt. But don't past post. Take your drivers with conviction before the race or before qualifying. Your good enough to still be a hero.
