alright gentlemen were off to TALLADEGA this weekend!!!!

been doing pretty well latley so hope we get lucky this week and keep the momentum going

not telling any news here, but this is going to be a crap-shoot as every plate race is, so just going to try and cap as best as i can this weekend...personally plate races are a nightmare to cap, but the 1 good thing is the odds are some of the best all year becuase really no clear favorites to win these plate races, but we sure will try..i use same system i always do, and odds will make it alot easuer to have more picks available(which will be needed i have a feeling)

*****keep in mind new rule changes will be in place to make the 2-car draft not easy to sustain, so practice sessions will be interseting

as always, any info sharing and thoughts/comments are always welcome on my thread....

when the early odds are posted on 5dimes i will start looking at early wagers

i always have harvick and bowyer as options last 2 years at plate races so those will be definate plays of mine...just have to see if the odds will be a early wager or a wait til after practice sessions wager...qualifying doent mean a damn thing to me here so that wont play a part in this weeks wagers of mine

Will include Bowyer so we can cheer for the same driver this week but will be looking closely at all the Hendrick cars in practice. If it goes back to something closer to pack racing Gordon and Junior should be happy.

yeah ive been looking over it today...definatley taking harvick and bowyer early...also my notes have shown david reagan being very strong at plate races as well so he may be worth a chance, but i doubt 22 to 1 will get much higher so not sure if its worth an early bet...ill have 1 or 2 more ill add early maybe, but at this moment i took bowyer and harvick early so far...will update if i add anymore today rt tomorrow

i plan on not wagering as much either this week, but im sure i will end up about the same...lol...i will have several longshots as well, as history shown latley ANYBODY thats has a car on the lead lap can win these things....not to even mention all the rule changes this week

**also saw today another change i wasnt aware of..NO MORE greasing up the bumpers of the cars to reduce the friction from running together...seems small but that may be a big factor when it comes to wrecking and getting loose when 2 car tandem in effect

Good to know. Agree that will stop a lot of drivers wanting to hook up. Kyle for sure, he has turned a few people he has been pushing.

yeah i thought that may be something u might not think is a big deal but really may end up being something that may bother them...just saw that little fact on nascar now today...going to be the most interesting practice sessions of the year i think...not sure what to expect honestly

from what i understood today teams will not be allowed to use ANY substance to grease or make the bumper more slippery...probably just have to wait and see, but i doubt anything works like the wd40 and grease or thats what they would have been using all along

even though this hasnt been actually tested on the track yet, drivers i heard dont think it will make any difference at all, and said they will all figure it out by the end of 1st practice..lol..so nobosy seems to think these rule changes is going to much of a change, just like the rules they changed for daytona if u remember...too bad doesnt matter cause these are hardest races to cap BY FAR...wish these rules made it easier to cash in sunday..lol

Gordon said today the horsepower will be interesting but if cars are having to sitch when drafting more it will cause more wrecks .Sure gonna be a fun weekend seeing them get a grip on this

yeah i saw his interview and about 3 others online today...i think the only difference will be more wrecks as well with the 7-10 more horses under the hood...i think it will be VERY exciting...as long as my 500 on my drivers arent the guys wrecked out early on...lol...the ONLY good thing about betting on plate races is the odds are usually the best of the whole year where u can get alot of drivers for the money u spend...im really excited for this weekend

i wish the nationwide cars where running dega too this weekend....guess the trucks will have to do, but id MUCH rather see the nationwide running it

oh i think blown engines may be a BIG problem too now that mention it...u know they going to push it and stick the grill to get some air tooo late..lol

yeah trucks will be fun too, just meaning from a betting aspect i like wagering on nationwide alot more than trucks...but ill take what i can get...i used to only play at vip.com for the last 13 years and when they closed i found 5dimes this summer...and had no idea what i was missing...vip didnt even offer wagering on the truck series so im kinda just getting up to ,par wagering on them cause i had no reason to get really in depth with the truck series....i liked vip and never had a payout problem, but i really didnt know what i was missing with 5dimes wagering options....vip closing was a blessing to get me to 5dimes for sure

so far ive taken bowyer and harvick yesterday, and im looking at a few longshots that have been running better at plate tracks...im looking at reagan, but he may not get any better than 22 hes at now, and bk at 22 is also not a bad choice IMO...even JPM has been hangin in top 10 at the recent plate races as well...ill probably add a few more tonight or in the morning when im done reading up a tad bit more..ill post whatever else with my bowyer and harvick picks ive already bet on

**also read where bayne and carl planning on 2-car tandem the whole time, as well as gordon and martin, and bk and kurt...carl and bayne say they plan on running in the back of the pack all day until the very end..which alot of the best plate racers do as well...i dont mind some of my picks hangin in the back, at least mat asure some of my $$$ makes it with a chance at the end

went ahead and added david reagan...so im up to 3 with reagan, harvick, and bowyer....may take 1 more early and will add the rest later in the weekend...if i do anything soon ill post it...im will definatley have keslowski at some point just havent decided when yet..the odds are never better for a full roster than plate races...only great thing about betting them

nice...hes been so strong on plates i was suprised his odds were as low as they were to...great value in bowyer i thought...keep me updated on who else you like when u decide on ur other 3...i need as much advice as i can get on the plate races...much appreciated hawk

4got they are giving 100,000 to the driver who gets most lead changes too(as long as there are a total of 100 lead changes or more for entire race)....may actually happen since there was 88 lead changes last go around ...

yeah seen that on nascar now today...hes not mr restrictor plate by any means even though he won 1 this year..very seriously doubt hes on my roster
