#37Divorce is great Looker. I did it 10 years ago. Had a much betetr relationship with my kids because of it. (plus we can do what the hell we want finally)
Want to hear something really weird though?
Got back together with her earlier this year. (I guess the warning pain diminished too much)
And also weird... she's interested to hear about how my sports gambling is going. Doesn't even seem to frown on it slightly. Think I'm falling in love again. LOL.Comment -

#39lap 79 Kyle is slowest car in top 10, Ambrose took almost a second out of his lead. Wonder if he is saving gas or his tires have gone off..Comment -

#48Yisman made a request for a rule change.
Poll: How does everyone feel about the second tie breaker rule? Would you prefer us to split the prize on a tie?
Personally I think it's good to make sure we have a single winner, so the prize is always as large as possible. And think the second tie breaker rule is fair because early posters make their picks with less information. Plus I can't think of another simple final tie breaker...
Yisman might like to give us the case against it?
Any other comments welcome too. (please give us a Yay, Nay or don't care response if you play regularly).Comment -

#50The case is pretty simple.
The current rule discourages participation, because if you aren't around pretty soon after the matchups are posted, your chances of winning are very limited.
It's happened several times where I go to pick Sunday morning and all the ones I wanted to pick (several of the matchups are clear, not toss-ups. In fact, all the matchups this week were clear) are unavailable.
You say "so pick a different race winner"? Also not good, because each week, there's a small handful of drivers picked to win.
This past week, I had to either not pick Ambrose (or one or two other drivers) to win, or change one of the matchups because my desired picks were already taken.
I think it's perfectly logical to split the prize pool if multiple posters made the same picks.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#51We have been doing it this way for almost two NASCAR seasons and I think we get a fair amount of people winning each week. Hell, I've only won once this year and I'm usually one of the first to post my picks. There for a few weeks you were too Yisman. We can't satisfy everyone's schedule.
If we start splitting the pot, the value of this weekly pool goes down. It's not like it will be split between 2 people all the time.
Remember your season long record is effected by your weekly picks. You said you threw out Somona because you had no chance of winning? Well you could of been in the top 5 possibly if you made some picks.
What's next? No one can pick the same race winner has someone else?
Maybe the better solution is to figure out a new 2nd tie breaker. Maybe who will lead the most laps? Who will finish last? Who will have the fastest pit times? But I think the contest has been working fine.
I understand your concerns Yisman, and respect your views and opinions.Comment -

#53I do understand what your saying, but if one thing is changed, then other changes can come. That is what I meant.
You would of had a better chance at the season long pool if you had made some Somona picks.
Well why did you pick The Glen if this is how you feel? Didn't you feel you had no shot yesterday as well. Why did you throw away points for this one?
Sorry no quotes. On my phone and its a pain to multi quote.Comment -

#54I had already made my picks.
I guess I could've asked to cancel my picks but I didn't think Optional would go for that.
I didn't feel I had much of a chance to win and didn't want to do it, but I had already paid and picked.
I do understand what your saying, but if one thing is changed, then other changes can come. That is what I meant.
I think my suggestion is logical and the resistance seems to be because it's a change. I don't see what's wrong with changes if they're reasonable. Things don't have to stay the same in perpetuity.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#56What resistance? I'm the only one to vote. Just voicing my opinions, just like you. Others need to vote. If the majority is in favor of the change, there isn't much I can do about it. I will go with it.Comment -
