    F1 prop for Silverstone
    Greek has

    British F1 Grand Prix July 8 - 10, 2011
    Qualifying Matchups
    Sebastien Vettel vs The Field
    The Field (+175)

New rules about off-throttle engine maps come in this week and are expected to affect Red Bull (Vettel/Webber) more than the other teams.

Mercedes and Renault have managed to get approval to be allowed to run the banned system (partially)

Ferrari never perfected the system and have been working toward this race with fervor.

McLaren have a new rear wing that is rumoured to give them a few tenths per lap advantage they didnt have last race.

And now there has been rain during the first 3 practice sessions, so no one has managed to test how the changes have really affected them.

I think Vettel should be at least even money, if not plus odds, to win pole today... so if you feel like some good value action I'd jump on that +175 for the Field like I have.

That won. Here's a couple more 'value bets' for the race starting in about 2 hours.

I like Alonso to win, and think the Ferrari's will prove to have faster race pace than the Red Bulls. He's not good value though, especially at The Greek where they have moved him all the way into +275. 5D still have him at +315. 5D lines suggest Vettel will win whilst Greek lean toward Alonso with me.

Anyway, neither Alonso or Vettel are value here when starting behind the 'hungry' defending race winner Webber, who has also been fastest in just about every session.

    Fastest Lap: Massa +1000

I think one of he Ferrari's will produce the fastest race lap today. Alonso is at +400, and is no where near 2.5 times as likely to do it as Massa... so I see the +1000 as good value. (I've split my money over both of them)

    Top 10: Sergio Perez +150

Talented driver in a car that has looked very well suited to this track starting 12th on the grid. I count 5 cars starting ahead of him he should be capable of passing on equal terms. His team mate starts 8th and both drivers have consistently been in the top 10 all weekend.

Daniel Riciardo +150 v Tonio Luizzi

Debut start for a young Australian tipped to be a future champion. Not quite the same hype as "Sliced Bread" coming into Cup, but along the same lines.

He's in the worst car on the grid, which could well break down, and his team mate has talent and experience, but no way this kid should be +150 against him imho.

Pastor Maldonado +130 v Paul Di Resta

Maldonado has multiple wins on the track in lower series and has really come into his own as an F1 driver in the last 3 races. He qualified the Willaims in 7th, just 1 spot behind Di Resta in the Force India.

Di Resta is under extra pressure this week driving in front of his home crowd for the first time and there isn't much between these 2 anyway, so I see +130 as good value.

That's what I like to see. Almost everything wins.

Alonso got fastest lap in the Ferrari (and won the race), Perez finsihed 7th (picking up 5 places as predicted), Maldonado beat Di Resta, but Riciardo finished 1 place behind Luizzi.

      Great result for the weekend.
