what's it going to take for jimmie to pass him? simply finish ahead in the race?

I'm thinking a Chevy ends Hamlin's chances before half distance. He has 7 of them out there in teams directly fighting him and a few more with engines or chassis' from his competitors that likely won't be helpful either.

And Jimmie to win is only +100, so it seemed like a good value play.
And I was itchin to get into the action on this race.

Sorry but have you seen the way Denny is racing? He's went straight up with the 48 on pure speed and outclassed him.

He still has to stay as cool as Jimmie to survive to the end, and deal with all those Chevs.
Probably doesn't help my judgment that I just don't want him to win it though.

Yeah Jimmie does have the experience but not one championship did he come into homestead and take it away from someone. He's always protected. Right now Joe Gibbs Racing just has the total package.

i had denny in this race last year and he was a stud, most likely expecting more of the same, do have the inkling that one of the three will be involved in something bad but dont have a gut feel on which, avoided some big crashes lately, this may be the one. Dont count out Happy Harvick, just saying.

No. Not unless he leads the most laps and wins. Depending on where they are on the leader board Jimmie has to beat him by at least 3 spots. Then it depends on who lead a lap and if it was the most laps. It might be 4 spots to win and not tie.

I'm thinking the pressure gets to Hamlin and he implodes. I may lay some on that +money for the field to take the championship.
I put a bet on Harvick at +2800 to win the championship around week 10 I think, so I'm hoping for some big wrecks near the front of the field

true, but even without any pressure JJ still hasn't been worse than 15th the last 4 years. now he reason to drive harder and you know he can win at any track.
in the last 4 Homestead races Hamlin has the best avg finish, but Harvick best avg in the 2 COT races. This really could come down to the last lap!

Nothing hot, but I'm tossing up these options
Carl Edwards -115 v Greg Biffle -115
Jeff Burton -115 v Matt Kenseth -115
Regan Smith -135 v Marcos Ambrose +105
Ryan Newman -145 v Kyle Busch +115

I think Johnson's avg finishes here are a little skewed. Mainly because he usually comes in here with the championship just about wrapped up and cruises around to avoid all that trouble

I'm with you. Can't find Harvick at a decent # or I'd be on him. See what happens tonight.

Track is going to be hot and slick, groove way next to the wall. I like Kevin Harvick in this spot.

I'll take Gordon at 20-1, top 7 in all 3 practices starting 11th. 5 top 5 finishes at homestead in his last 9 races there. add Jamie Mcmurray tomorrow don't think his odds will go anywhere but up

It would be just like Smoke to pop up and steal the last race when nobody seems to be thinking about him.

yep, smoke hasn't showed anything, doesn't even look like a top 10, so he'll probably win.
took burton/kahne/gordon/mac that combined are about a +450 for me. includes a CYA bet on harvick.
good luck all! I"m off to the race.....look for me, I'll be the guy in turn 1 drinking a beer....

Adding Happy Harvick at +1000. Tough to win this at his starting spot but he's got a hot rod. No gay stuff here.

Gordons a great pick, but he won't ever finish the job anymore. Anyway, good luck.
