Licencing lacks class, it's like tearing down a beautiful old historic building and putting up a monstrosity in its place. I mean could you imagine if today's football game was Lamborghini Field instead of Lambeau Field!

Sprint and Nextel merged a few years back, I think a year after they switched it from Winston Cup to Nextel cup. So I figured the change would come.

But just when you got use to it being the Nextel Cup, they switch it to something that sounds even more odd.

...and now Cingular is AT&T. This name changing shit never ends. Thank god the cable company doesn't sponsor this stuff, I've had like 10 different cable companies here in the last 12-13 years.

The funny thing is that Sprint may go bankrupt by the end of this year and they'll have to rename the cup again. Why don't they just call it the "Redneck Cup"? Noone will be offended, trust me.

They wouldn't let Burton put AT&T on his and ended up with an agreement in court that lets him have that sponser until the end of the 2008 or 2009 season before he has to find a new sponser....by then who knows if it will even matter with all the name changes....I finally get used to calling it Nextel instead of Winston and they change it again.
