A 3 average would be good if we were playing for that.

In the chase, was there an overall winner or just week to week?

If you are talking about the money, having trouble getting the ok from SBR, prospects don't look good right now. Sorry, I thought it was going to happen or wouldn't have opened my mouth.
We could have an overall chase points prize still though.
Same 15 points for the weekly prize, and an optional extra 10 points if you want the entry to count for the chase prize maybe?
10 people by 10 weeks would make it a 1000 point prize.
Anyone got a better idea?

Actually, thinking about it, that would just fizzle out. Because people would stop putting in the extra 10 as they drop out of contention. Brainstorm it gang! We need a better, simpler, plan I think.
Thought I should mention the scorned sponsor too. As they immediately agreed to throw in $500 for us, without any conditions. It was even zero rollover requirement. (I tried to get SBRpicks to setup a NASCAR league for us for the chase, and it was the CS rep's suggestion to chase up a sponsor directly for the game here btw. And I only got the one response form about 10 approaches.)
Don't know if any of you have tried ParlayMakers.com? Basically they offer Pinny's exact lines (to US players) with a bunch of parlay options I like. Including some correlated options that I think are crazy attractive to the player. They also have instant bet settlements, via GP, which means you can bet there and have the winnings in play at 5Dimes or Greek and a few others, minutes after it's been graded.
Downside is a 2% fee on the instant win payout by the payment processor.
I don't really know much about them or how solid they are, only joined myself a couple of weeks ago, but the owner, Max, comes across as very fair, and generous, and as I said, ya gotta love the parlay options.
Oh yeah, and one other thing I really like, their stated policy is to not put limits or time delays on winning players.

Maybe if people want to do a pool we put the points up front or have a deadline like by the 3rd race or something

That sounds good to me.
100 points? before the 3rd race
Most winning H2H picks over the 10 races takes win
Tiebreaker is most race winners picked correctly (1st places)
2nd tiebreaker = highest placed winner pick at Homestead?
And do we want winner take all, or prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, of say 60% - 25% - 15%? Might keep it more interesting for 10 weeks with 3 prizes?

Sorry a bit slow getting started this week. Been overwhelmed with work. Haven't even thought about the race yet.
