Mazespin (as opti calls him) hits fastest lap at 250/1. Imagine betting on Lance Stroll instead

Sportsbet voided all my fastest lap bets.

        Nice of them.

Damn shame we missed a real race. Would have been good. Cucks have taken over.

5dimes voided all bets in general, actually not in my favour. I was fairly certain that everything (apart from fastest lap, because officially there is none) would be graded as normal, as the race finished with an official result. What's you guys' opinion on this?

Of course this whole thing was a shitshow, but rules look clear to me: "All wagers are graded at a race’s conclusion once the winner is verified by officials and standing on the podium." But they refer to "Formation and/or warm-up laps are not considered for betting purposes", claiming the race never started.

Well, it depends on their rules, but unless they have changed recently, I would have expected 5Dimes to grade most bets as per the official results.

Bet365, Unibet, Youwager and Betanysports all did it that way.

I only bet fastest laps at Sportsbet so do not know if they voided everything or just fastest lap.

yeah, don't think they changed - I couldn't find any rule justifying a cancellation at least. So I specifically asked, and they said everything was cancelled because "Formation and/or warm-up laps are not considered for betting purposes".

I can see their point, but what may have looked like "warm-up laps" behind the safety car, was actually part of the official race. Will try to find some kind of official confirmation for that, and get back to them.

Best I found (apart from the official result) so far is "F1 cars are back on track, as Verstappen follows the Safety Car out onto the circuit. The time has started, which means the race has now started." on the official F1 ticker

It was definitely an official race, whether they like how it was run or not.

F1.com will clearly say "Official Results" somewhere on their site.

For sure, yes. I sent them the official file already - just looking for an additional source which confirms that it weren't just "Formation and/or warm-up laps" which lead to that result.

they now say their decision is final, all bets will remain cancelled. Would you suggest to send in a SBR complaint, or what's your experience with them?

I never dealt with them for SBR, and I think the faces have changed. Last dispute SBR suggested they were wrong they ignored us. So I would not be hopeful. But can't hurt to send in a complaint form and see.

If their rules say grading is based on official results, it's hard to understand their position without hearing the logic.

Maybe asking the Isle of Man regulator what their opinion is could help... https://www.gov.im/categories/busine...mplaints-form/
