MARTINSVILLE NIGHT RACES (Xfinity/Cup)---

Alright fellas we are back after a long week off from everything NASCAR and headed to one the best racetracks on the entire circuit in Martinsville! Otherwise known as the Paperclip. Bumper to bumper cars the entire race long on this 0.533 mile long track and these races never disappoint to watch. We have the Xfinity and Cup series are both in action this weekend, and the truck series will return for a couple of weeks. The Xfinity race is Friday night at 8pm on FS1 and the Cup race will be Saturday night at 7:30pm and will also air on FS1. Damn I really missed racing this last week so can't wait!

The big question is whether Mike and I will bet Larson with his poor track history. I think it will take better odds than +1200 for me to throw some money down. I’ll be on Blaney for sure and will have to think about the rest.

Been busy this week but finally will get down and finish picking pre race plays today

Xfinity series is pretty wide open at this track, but Learners fav long shot J.Berry (40-1) is a must play this week...he has him already also...will prob play a parlay obv...kinda like Blaney and Logano both @ +800 single for cup, but haven't pulled trigger yet.. I expect with joey on the Pole his # will only get worse from here...will try to have a parlay for Truex for cup for sure.

When capping at tracks like this, where the driver makes more difference than the car, one of he stats I like to look at is the start/finish position differential.

I think avoiding faves with a big negative differential and looking for longshots with a big positive one can help. Especially when considering head to head bets.

The numbers alone don't tell the full story, but they give you a starting point to dig into why they have those numbers.

Anyway, thought I would point out what I am thinking from these start/finish position stats as food for thought

1) From the faves I'd lean BradK and KyleB and Truex more than Logano and Blaney and Elliott.

2) Longshots to look at; Newman, A Dillon, T Dillon, Beuscher, Bubba and LaJoie
