ATLANTA (all 3 series)---
Alright guys were are heading off to ATLANTA Motor speedway this weekend where all 3 series will be in action..Saturday we have a rare double header with Xfinity series at 2PM followed by the trucks right after at 4:30PM, both airing on FS1..And finally the Cup race will be the usual Sunday afternoon on FOX at 2PM...As with every season early on there is always a feeling out period from offseason changes, but this year is gonna be completely different now that Daytona is over...ATLANTA is uniquely shaped 1.5 mile quad oval racetrack..The turns are all 24 degrees and the straights are 5 degrees..This is the oldest racing surface on the circuit and is totally worn out which makes this a drivers racetrack...And it eats tires for all meals so cars will be pitting every given chance as long as they have enough tires..even after just a handful of laps...NASCAR has wanted this track paved the last few years but drivers made a fuss because they love it...Its as wide as any track and also has many different grooves, but mostly right against the wall is where it is best at in the past

Please keep in mind that these engines and aerodynamics on these cars starting this week for the faster racetracks completely changes...200 less horsepower is a HUGE difference and nobody really knows what to expect this week and weeks going forward so just keep that in mind...And for some reason 1st practice isnt on TV, probably only practice i have even cared to see in years lol
