THE DAYTONA 500 (Speedweeks/all 3 series)---

Alright guys the 2019 season is about to kickoff this weekend with the annual 75- lap Exhibition race, The Clash, on Sunday afternoon at 3PM to kick off Speedweeks!!!!!! the Daytona 500 front row only qualifying will be at noon on FOX this Sunday also before the Clash...I decided to lump all of Speedweeks in 1 thread this year to make things easier... And as usual we will then have the The Duels on Thursday night starting at 7PM on FS1, followed by trucks Friday night on FS1, The Xfinity race is Saturday afternoon at 2:30PM on FS1, followed up by the 500 next Sunday afternoon on FOX at 3PM...all times always EST

DAYTONA International Speedway is a 2.5 mile asphalt high speed Tri-oval with 21 degrees of banking in all 3 turns, 18 degrees in the tri-oval and just 2 degrees on the back straightaway..


As you all know Daytona is the last race with the 2018 body and aero packages and we will be starting out with new everything after the 500 is completed...The only change for Daytona is we will see the brand new Ford Mustang car for the 1st time....But for this week the packages are the same packages as 2018 was...That Ford dominated btw..


As always Daytona races, like all plate races, are a lot of luck but there is also a method to picking the lineup...now for whatever reason the 500 is by far my most unlucky of the 4 yearly plate races, the only plate race I've actually lost in several years now so Im hoping that changes this time!!!


This is probably gonna be a tough first 4-6 races to try and see how the new changes to all the packages and Ford car come out of the gates before we can get to where we always are...But just like every other year we will figure it all out and start cashing in those pay checks! I will post a speedweeks schedule later today

10:35am : The only Clash practice (FS1)
1:05pm : Daytona 500 qualifying practice (fS1)
3:05pm : Final 500 qualifying practice (FS1)


Sunday:

Noon : Daytona 500 front row qualifying (FOX)
3PM : Advanced Auto Parts CLASH (FS1)


**Mon, Tues, Wed no track activities


Thursday:

2:30pm : Truck Practice (FS2)
4:30 : Final truck practice (FS2)
7PM : Can-Am Duel #1
8:30PM : Can-Am duel #2


Friday:

Noon & 2PM : Xfinity practices (FS1)
1pm & 3PM : CUP practice (FS1)
4:40 : Truck Qualifying (FS1)
7:30PM : TRUCK RACE (FS1)


Saturday:

9:30am : Xfinity qualifying (FS1)
noon : Final Cup practice
2:30PM : XFINITY RACE (FS1)


Sunday:

And for the Clash and the Duels I wont bet those as normal races, will just pick a few guys for each race and prob just put smaller than usual on these events, but I will update that if plans change...will post my couple early darts for Clash shortly...

Have not bet anything for the 500 as of yet but will take a couple early plays soon

Logano was the rightful early favorite?

The Front Row Racing guys have speed (and 100-1 plus odds). Buying BK assets, full Ford backing and closer ties with Roush could = surprise packet for 2019?

Menard 38-1 seems high to me since he won the pole drawing...not that I'm a big believer in Menard anywhere, but ill take that as my other longshot
