THE ALL-STAR RACE (Charlotte)--

Alright fellas we are heading off to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the next few weeks...This week is the annual All-Star race on Saturday night and also the Truck series will run its regular race schedule there on Friday night...The Xfinity series is off until next weekend here...

The All-star race is the main event consisting of 17 drivers already in the field, and 4 more will be added...3 from the Monster Open race consisting of about 20 teams that haven't locked in their position in the main event and 1 will be entered that is not already in via the fan voting...The winner of the 3 stages of the Monster Open race will advance to the main event...Practice sessions will also be held separate from each other..

This years new gimmick is that the cars will all have plates on them like Talladega and Daytona to hopefully keep them in a bunch for the most part..Also there will be a new areo-duct on the front of the cars near the wheel well and the teams have no way to test this new package because NASCAR will distribute them when they all get to the track on Thursday...

I would say this is more of a bet for less than usual being its gonna be a mystery what this race will look like and impossible to really cap it like usual but I wont stay away..lol...And this year we cant even really get a feel for the 600 next week either...But it will be the same cast of favs that it has been no matter what i am sure, just have to wait and see what the open up at....Have fun with this 1 and GOODLUCK!

**REMINDER**

If you choose to bet the Open race before the main event remember that books will only grade the winner of stage #3 as the race winner...The winners of the first 2 stages will just fall to the back and not contend like usual because they have absolutely nothing to gain from racing to win more stages because they have already advanced to the main event...its basically a big sucker bet imo, unless u get great odds on the 3/4 drivers u don't think can win stages 1/2 but maybe stage 3 and this years field is STACKED compared to years past...

The field for the All-Star Race is made up of race winners in 2017 and 2018, former All-Star Race winners who are competing full-time and Cup champions who are competing full-time.


The drivers currently set to compete in the All-Star Race are: Ryan Blaney, Clint Bowyer, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, Austin Dillon, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne, Matt Kenseth, Brad Keselowski, Kyle Larson, Joey Logano, Jamie McMurray, Ryan Newman, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Martin Truex Jr.


Kyle Busch is the defending winner of the race.


The All-Star Race is preceded by the 50-lap Monster Energy Open.


The Open is broken up into three stages of 20 laps, 20 laps and a 10-lap sprint. The winner of each stage will advance to the main event.


A fan vote will advance a fourth driver.


There are 21 entries for the Open.

Truck Series – North Carolina Education Lottery 200


There are 36 entries for the race.


Kyle Busch will make his third start of the season. He will drive the No. 51 Toyota.


Brandon Jones is entered in Kyle Busch Motorsports’ No. 46 Toyota.


Todd Gilliland, driving KBM’s No. 4 Toyota, makes his third start of the year. He turns 18 on Tuesday, allowing him to compete on all NASCAR tracks.


Last year this race was won by Busch. He won over Johnny Sauter and Christopher Bell.

They have never tested plates on this track before with this aero package and def never with rest. plates...total crapshoot

i wont be playing it like usual either. A couple smaller than usual action bets to root for probably it... Even if I have any parlays from trucks that make it I wont use them until the Coke 600 next weekend

Plus next weekend is the biggest racing weekend of the entire year with F1 Monoco, Indy 500 and Coke 600 All on the same day. its like my Xmas day..So Ill have way too much going then. lol I never bet Indy cars, but the 500 is always so good i can never resist not taking a couple guys to root for there. Same with F1 Monoco
